Rated 5 out of 5 by PatC Works for all 4 cats
I like everything about this product. My cats like it. It keeps hairballs down. It has the right amount of protein. And it is good for their coats. No other product I know of has avocado in it. I don't worry about their weight either, and not a bad price. Its is a home run.

This food keeps my cat satisfied longer than her old food. She used to cry for more by 5pm and I only feed her in the morning. Now she even has some left over in the morning. So far no real weight loss though. But I feel it must be better for her blood sugar by her change in behavior.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DJT1 My cats love this product!
My cats love this product. Keeps their coats soft, shiny and healthy looking. With the all natural ingredients, it has helped two of my cats with food allergies. A lot cheaper to change food brands than to go to a kitty allergy doctor and all that entails. My local pet retailers were doing away with selling Avoderm and the only other place I could order it was $20 more expensive. So needless to say I love getting this product direct and auto shipment makes it so much easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KittyKats13 Great food but now impossible to find in local pet stores.
This food is great for my indoor only cats and they all love it. It helps them have less fur balls without gaining weight, which is really important as they continue to get older & less active. The only problem...is that this product is now impossible to find in any local pet stores. Fortunately, Chewy.com is here to help!

Rated 5 out of 5 by PiePantz cats love it and less hairballs
We have been trying different foods for one cat with dandruff and for another cat with a sensitive stomach and this product works for both of them. Overall we have decreased the upset stomach issues even compared to different prescription diets and we have fewer hairballs overall. A win for us and the cats

This food is great if your cat has dandruff! We were using wet food to control it, but this seems to be working!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by JJdoolittle Not so great... especially for the price
This is an expensive product, but has corn as the primary ingredient. For the price, you are much better off going with Chicken Soup Light or Blue Buffalo Indoor for weight management. My cats don't even like to eat this. I can't believe how little food is gone when I get home. I guess if you want to starve your kitties into losing weight, this food could be for you. I wish I would have done more research before buying it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ns525 Good food - cats like it
we started feeding this last summer because the wet food was too attractant to bugs and fruit flies. I was a bit wary because I knew they didn't like the canned version of this food as much as some of the other Avoderm varieties (I'd always have to mix half weight control and half something else) but I thought I'd order the bag and see. One of our cats does have a bit of a weight issue at points. However, this was the one time I could switch them totally off wet to a dry with no issue -- and they love it. Sometimes they have some left over, most times not. Once the summer ended I once started to run out of it and then tried to have them go back to the wet, they didn't like it as much and started having some issues so we just kept them on this formula. Which is fine by me. For a few years, I used to feed them natural balance but then they quit eating it and I also found that the NB wet food had a lot of carrageenan in it which often causes problems, so I was looking for a natural food that was decently priced that didn't have it, or had it as a last ingredient so it would be minuscule amounts. Avoderm seemed like the best bet of the ones I looked at. It's getting harder to find in stores. Chewy a better bet - pricing and convenience wise. I like how fast they ship it out and then I don't have to go out searching for it or lugging bags around. It does seem to control the hairballs, since we put them on it we feed a lot less hairball treats and clean up less messes, plus we hardly see them trying to cough them up like they used to do. As to the reviewer who was touting BB - well there's drawbacks to their food and they have changed their formulas too in some varieties for some not so great stuff. But to each his own. I encourage everyone to do their research on natural food and their cats preferences and make the best decision based on that.
