We've used this litter for years. It generally clumps well, cuts down on odors, and is significantly less dusty than clay litter. There's no added scent in this formula, so fewer allergies for the cats and for us. We've tried many brands of litter (natural and traditional clay) and we always come back to this one. We have three cats who share one very large box and a 26lb bag lasts us about a month. The only time there's ever very noticeable odor is during the times when we push the limits on fully cleaning the box. We find that we can go 10-14 days between full changes (adding additional litter when it's low and doing spot cleans on the box itself as needed).
The only problem with this litter is that while it's significantly less dusty than other brands, the dust that it does wind up settling around the litter area is dark brown. It's easy enough to clean up and I have found no litter within this price range that is entirely dust free. (Only that the lighter colored dust is not as noticeable.)

I switched to this litter as an alternative to the cedar litter I was using. All but one of my cats likes this litter and she won't use any litter that I've found so far. The litter has a slightly sweet odor. It doesn't mask or cover odors very well, but does absorb and clump so clean up is easy. It seems to last a long time, and is a pretty good price in comparison to other natural litters. I might try the scented version next time to control odors more. I like that this litter is all natural and made of USA walnuts in USA factory.

Rated 4 out of 5 by HouseOfManyCats Does the job with no dust
I have had to abandon most clumping litters because the dust triggered my asthma, and we can't use corn-based litter because our cat is severely allergic. This one works for us. Smells good, wish it clumped a little better, but it gets the job done.

Yes, it had a nice smell and is biodegradable. It does give off dust and my cat tracks some from the bathroom (where his box is kept) to the rest of the house. That being said, I still use it.

This litter is great. It is not as heavy as the leading brands and has no dust. Cats seem to like it.

I have many inside cats and have tried all the cat litters on the market. Blue Buffalo meets all my needs, it's long lasting, I do not have to wash out the litter boxes every week, nor do I have to scrap all the clay litter that is stuck in the corners of the pans. My cats like it and there is no smell, it's not heavy and has low dust. I love that it is made out of crushed walnuts and environmentally safe.

I'm very pleased with this litter. I have 3 cats and 3 large litter pans. So far, the dust is minimal as is the tracking. My cats changed over to the litter easily. It was a gradual move from Arm & Hammer Essentials Natural Clumping Litter. While I was happy with the lack of dust as well as the smell of Arm & Hammer, the tracking was pretty bad. Blue Buffalo clumps very well - better than the Arm & Hammer, and I do like the smell of this litter (subtle). I scoop daily and change the litter every 30 days. The smell of feces is quite strong when the cats initially use the pan, but it does eventually fade. I smell no urine. My cats eat Blue Buffalo food, so I was receptive to hearing about the litter from a Blue Buffalo representative when I was at my local pet store. I didn't purchase the litter that day, because I wanted to research the reviews. Chewy has given me great service, and I was happy to order the litter from them.
