Rated 5 out of 5 by MeowNow My cats' absolute favorite
My geriatric clowder loves all of By Nature's 95% flavors, but this is their definite favorite. There's absolutely no hesitation at their food dishes. They'd eat it morning, noon and night if I allowed it, but I'm a mean mom and believe in rotation. :)
With a 10/6 protein fat ratio, it's a great everyday food. Minimal carbs (flaxseed and alfalfa). My only complaint is the carrageenan, which is difficult to avoid.
I was reluctant to introduce beef to the cats' diet, as my IBD girl had problems with beef years ago. No problems with this--or any of the other By Nature 95% varieties, despite the fact that she gobbles the beef.
Because this makes gravy that puts my own to shame (1 tbs. food/3-4 tbs. water), it's also good for FLUTD and CRF cats.
It's inexpensive compared to other quality, grain-free foods. But even if it were twice the cost, I'd continue feeding it to the "kids," who are now old geezers. It's that good.

Holy smokes! I have never seen my cats go so crazy over a food as they did this one! Forget other brands I'd been introducing them to. This is a 10 star hit with all 6 cats. It is a high quality, gluten free food that is more moist than some of the other ones I've tried, and that is certainly a selling feature for my cats.
The cost is the only prohibitive factor, otherwise I would probably buy twice as much at a time. Trying to keep 6 cats and 3 dogs in quality food is spendy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hope30 High quality, reasonable price
My cats love this new product as well as other varieties in the line. ByNature has provided extensive information regarding the quality of their newly formulated products including BPA-free cans,"fit for human consumption", grass-fed animals, commitment to quality. I have found their customer service staff to be outstanding and forthright with information.
Additionally this product has no chicken or fish which makes it a great choice for my allergic cats. I also have a boy who is pancreatitis-prone so the low fat content makes this perfect for him as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MikP Decent ingredients, cats don't like it.
By Nature has reformulated their line and I was eager to try this one because I have cats with various poultry allergies.
Unfortunately, they don't like it. Even the feral cats are not thrilled with it and eat it grudgingly when it's clear that nothing else is forthcoming.
The texture is a granular-type pate that is just a touch on the dry side. Overall, not appealing to the cats.
I'm going to call this one a swing and a miss for By Nature.

Rated 2 out of 5 by KellyM Didn't Work for My Cats
Unfortunately, this didn't sit well with my cats... Although they gobbled it down and seemed to like the flavor and texture, they promptly vomited it up. No hairball or any other reason. My cat went back to eat more and within ten minutes we had a repeat affair. I tried introducing it a week later and the same thing happened. They aren't finicky, so this was surprising. I hope other pet parents have better luck than we did!

In all fairness the food is good and I would recommend anyone to try it. Only 2 of my 8 cats will eat it so it wasn't a hit at my house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CatWhispurrer By Nature 95% Beef & liver Canned Cat Food
I have been buying this brand for quite some time. While the can is somewhat smaller and the price somewhat higher than it was when I started buying it, I still think that it is a very high quality cat food, and I like that it's 95% of what it says on the front, so doesn't have a bunch of fillers, and no by-products, etc.., The texture has changed due to a relatively recent change in who the company is using to process the food, but the "kids" still like it much better than a well-known competitor's "95%" product. Having one kitty with allergies to all poultry products, this makes a very safe choice for her <3
