Castor & Pollux Organix Turkey & Spinach Canned Cat Food
This keeps my 15 yr old CRF cat going strong!
Hi! I am so thankful for Castor & Pollux's Organix wet cat food. I have a 15 yr old male cat who's still going strong despite CRF thanks to this food. I did tons of research on lower-protein (and good-quality protein) wet cat food, and Castor & Pollux's fit the bill. Not only is it good for him nutritionally, but also it must taste good b/c he eats it, unlike the Rx diet ones for CRF cats from the vet, which he refused to eat and started losing weight. An A+ for this cat food!

My cat is in love!
My senior cat Sophia just adores this food. When I first gave it to her I thought she'd never come up for breath! She had been getting very fussy about her food until I gave this to her. I am trying to vary her diet a little by offering her different choices, but this is the one she flips over.

One of the VERY best wet cat foods available!
Organix Turkey & Spinach seems to be the only canned food I can get my 13 year old cat to eat. She has only every been given wet foods, but in the past she wasn't so picky. She has Stage 2 chronic kidney disease now (aka CRF or CKD), feline herpes and epilepsy. Like another reviewer, I also have done extensive research on pet foods, have been doing it for years, and this brand, made by Castor & Pollux, is one of the best available for CKD & CRF cats, due to it's lower levels of but high quality proteins, lower phosphorus, and no grains.
Btw, guar gum is made from the guar plant, it's a legume, and this is the only company I know of that buys and uses organically grown guar gum.
I've tried the other Organix canned cat foods, but this seems to be the one she likes and eats 90% of the time. So, we'll stick to it.

Great grain-free organic cat food
We only feed our Highland Lynx cats organic, grain free foods. This is one of the few that has wonderful ingredients and all 5 cats like it too! :)

This product was a pale tan ground food that my cat did not like. The smell was worse than other ground products I have used. There is rice and guar gum in it along with the spinach. My cat has a sensitivity to fish and I am narrowing down other ingredients that cause her skin to twitch. I am trying to avoid xanthan and guar gum, tapioca, potato starch. I called the company to ask if this was chunks/slices of turkey or ground and was told it was sliced. No it is not.
