Cat Mate C50 5-Bowl Automatic Pet Feeder
Probably good - but not what I was looking for
This would be good for someone who needs to feed a pet over an extended period of time. Have a diabetic cat that wants to eat often and was hoping this could be set for 2 - 3 hour intervals. No good - seems like 6 to 8 hours is the shortest duration. Perhaps sales info explained it, but if it did, I missed it.

I love this feeder, great quality! I like the fact that canned food will stay cold because there are two ice packs that fit in the bottom. You can also use it for dry food. Nice not to have to hire someone to come in and feed while away for a couple days.

a bit unintuitive, but works well and is sturdy
Overall, a great buy for us. Our cats finally let us sleep in the morning!
We use this to feed the cats wet food, but only for overnight feedings -- we set it before bed to feed their breakfast, just so that the cats won't claw-slap us at 6:30am. For that, it works great. I can't speak to how much the freeze packs would do to keep food fresh for four days, but I'd be surprised if that works.
The setup is a bit more complex than some of the simpler feeders we were looking at, so you should actually read the instructions. Once you do, though, it's easy enough.
One of our cats doesn't care about it at all; the other thinks that if he only paws at it enough, he'll get food faster. So far it's held up without any problems.
I took off one star for it being unintuitive, but otherwise this delivers exactly what I'd have hoped for.

Easy to wash; sturdy (my cat tried to open it the first couple of nights and he gave up - he's very strong); easy to program.
You can't schedule meals closer than 6 hours from each other. That means that when you schedule the first meal, it has to be 6 hours from that moment.
It has 5 trays, but the first one is always open, so it means you can schedule only for 4.
The instructions don't tell you that when you reach the last slot you have to manually back up the bowl lid to the beginning.
It's big. It takes a lot of space. Weird design. The timer should be maybe in the center.
I set it up for 3pm and 3am since these are the times when I am either at work or sleeping, and it helps to keep the cat happy. My cat has to be fed several meals during the day, so this is perfect for that, but it takes work. I always have to remember to set it up at least 6 hours in advance.
I only use it for 1 cat.
I feel like I spent too much money on this. It works, but it's not the best product ever. If I need to go out of town I would need a second one.
