Rated 2 out of 5 by Dustyme Six Cats Didn't Like It
We have six cats of various ages and this flavor is the least liked of Dave's that we've tried so far.

I've only tried this one flavor with my cats and they like it okay but not great. They leave a lot on their plates. Also, the food is very thick and solid, which means you are getting a good deal because you are not paying for a lot of liquid. However, I mix water into it because it is rather dry. I use it as a backup for a raw food diet. Overall it seems like a good, economical choice for a grain-free canned food.

All my cats liked Dave's canned food, and this is the 1st time we tried The Cat's Meow selection, but we have had other flavors before. The only issue is sometimes the cans are dented and I can't use the pull tab top to open. But it's finely pureed pate, which seems to be the type that my pickier cat will eat. I blend with some water before serving.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BaxterPippa Great ingredients; cats aren't sure, though.
In my search to find more economic ways to feed my cats a healthy, wet diet, Dave's seemed like a great option. Awesome contents, no fillers or questionable ingredients, and it came in a larger can that saves money over time. My cats, like some other reviewers', ended up not really liking the food, however. I was able to get them to finish the first can by mixing it with other brands, but it didn't stand on its own.
I'm still giving it four stars because it's great in terms of ingredients and cost. I would recommend cat owners try this brand before writing it off, because all cats are different and some will like it more than others! If not, you can always donate it to a shelter and it won't go to waste! :)

When you open up the can there is no harsh smell and looks to be of a higher quality pate and neither of my cats will touch it. They both stick their noses up at it and my cats are not picky eaters. This is first food I've thrown at them they will not eat. With that being said, all the rest of the Pate food from Dave's is great! My cats love all the other flavors and go crazy when opening up the can.
I can't recommend this food due to the fact that there must be something specific to the food that turns cats off to it. If you have a picky eater, do not buy this flavor. Any of Dave's other flavors should be sufficient.

Rated 4 out of 5 by suzrainbowcats Affordable, Good Nutritionn
I offer Dave's canned cat food to my cats, mixed with other canned foods. They won't eat it when served alone, but when mixed with something else, they gobble it up! I like Dave's formulas because they are healthy, nutritious and affordable. My persnickety cats have to have some less healthy food mixed with it to enhance the taste, but it makes me feel like I'm giving them a good healthy meal. The price is great, and with 7 feline mouths to feed wet food to twice daily, the large cans are invaluable!

I have 4 cats. They are far from finicky and typically vie for the soft food, never looking up while eating it. Well, that was until I put this food in front of them. Not one would touch it. Literally they all looked up at me as if to say, "is this a joke?" I purchased 2 cases of this food without trying it out first. Chewy's fabulous customer service refunded me for one case. I'm extremely grateful considering feeding 4 cats is not cheap. The food seems to be dry. Smells bad and the texture is odd. All I need to say is that I will never buy this item from Dave's again. My cats have spoken!

Out of all the Dave's cat-food, this is the one they won't touch. None of the other foods have issues, but this one... Nope. They'd rather starve than eat it. I tried freeze dried chicken treats on top, also. Well, they lick that off and then leave the food underneath untouched. Now what do I do with the rest of the 12-pack I bought? Ouch!
