Evanger's Organics Turkey & Butternut Squash Dinner Canned Cat Food
possible good addition to sensitive cats' diet rotation
I am on my first case of trying this out, so it's still too soon for a ringing endorsement, but two of my three cats have major problems with just about everything I've tried, and so far so good with this. One has IBD and gets diarrhea at the drop of a hat, and the other is allergic to just about everything and gets little tiny bumps all over his body. I'm into my second week of alternating this with Nature's Instinct limited diet turkey---a proven winner with both of them---and no symptoms at all in both cases. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. This is more cost effective and still has a really impressive ingredients panel. There is chicken in it---something they both have had major problems with in the past---but so far no bad effects with this.

Surprise! Jitters loves it!
My cat Jitters can be a little picky, so when I bought this food it was a leap of faith because I doubted he would like anything with butternut squash in it. I am pleasantly surprised to report that he loves it! He even prefers it over the Organix I've been rotating it with.
This food doesn't have any rancid cat food odor. It has a lot of gravy, so it's good for kitties who need extra moisture. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I wish it were grain free. Otherwise, I highly recommend it. Don't be scared to buy it!

I appreciate that it is organic and a family-owned and operated pet food cannery in the United States . I would give it a 5 if the cats would dive into it, but they are fussy and getting used to it. The quality reads good and the food looks good.

Organic food in bpa free can good, but ick-y overall
After searching high and low I finally found an organic cat food in a BPA free can. That all sounded great but the food in actuality had a pretty high "ick" factor. The color, odor and general appearance were unappealing. There was a thick layer of slimey goop on the top of all cans. None of my three cats would eat this. We are donating it to the Humane Society and will not try again.

My cat loves this organic cat food~
I have an older cat who is able to digest this cat food fine, and being that the ingredients are organic, I am happy to feed it to my cat as I believe it helps to keep her healthy.

Most of my cats do not want it
We previously bought a different flavor of Evanger's pet food (I don't remember the flavor) & they liked it. So we tried this one this time (organic turkey & butternut squash) & most of my cats do not want it at all so the couple that like it will have to eat this for a while!
We will try other flavors of the same brand though in the future.

Loved that this food is Certified Organic and has top notch ingredients. It is a bit runny, but I assume that is because it has no fillers. All four of my cats do really love it and lick their plates dry. Sometimes I serve it over cooked chicken or even on some no grain dry food. They are all healthy and happy. We love a clean kitty plate!!
