Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for cat with dietary issues My cat has a limited ingredient diet but can eat beef and this one is like a stew! I like that the ingredients are made local and in the USA. February 9, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent food for fussy cats. Have always been very happy with Evanger's food. The Beef tidbits are a great product with lots of broth and meat. Our picky cats love it. December 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by 4 out of 4 cats love it Consistency between cans is variable from more meaty to more soupy but the cats don't care. My dearly departed elderly CKD kitty thrived on all-meat foods including this one for her last 2 years. Her kidney values had stabilized before cancer took her. November 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gravy rich treat that my cat laps up! My cat loves this food! He makes loud eating noises and looks up at me to make sure I know how much he likes it. He is very finicky and likes mostly foods with texture and gravy. Evanger's consistency for this food has changed since the photograph was taken for the label. The employee's cat for whom this variety was developed liked it better when the pieces of beef were smaller. So now the beef tips are diced. There is just as much beef as before, just in smaller, more palatable pieces. It is a soupy texture with lots of gravy and small pieces of beef. My cat has CKD and I had been hesitant to give him beef before. However, the phosphorous level is on the lower side at just under 0.75% on a DMB and 0.22% as fed. This is an excellent food for hydration as well as nourishment. Has 81.2% moisture content, which is so important to cats. I highly recommend it and Evanger's products overall. They actually manufacture their own food which is extremely rare these days. The ingredients are of high quality. I've made several phone calls to them since my cat was diagnosed and they have been forthcoming with nutritional info. It is through a recent phone call that I know the back story about this particular variety. It is nice to know it was inspired by a real cat. Their signature select varieties also have more gravy but are a slightly finer texture. My cat used to eat the turkey and chicken, but now only likes Evanger's Beef Tips in Gravy. Never tried the Signature Select Beef. February 2, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by It's good Two of my three cats liked. I know the company is very good. December 24, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by NO animal will eat this! This is goopy stuff, like very diluted baby food. I've offered it to almost 30 cats, and all of them spurned it. I tried to give it to a neighbor for his dogs, but they wouldn't have anything to do with it either. October 24, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Mushy My cat does not like this food. I expected pieces of beef in gravy. It is mush and does not look appetizing. I tried giving this to our dog and even he refused to eat it. November 15, 2013
