EVO 95% Venison Canned Cat Food
Good for novel-protein diets
My cat has IBD, and he's a picky little jerk. This venison flavor fits the novel-protein diet his doctor gave him, and it's easy on his stomach. He doesn't love it quite as much as the cheaper canned venison options, but he demands variety, so here I am. After you refrigerate the unused portion, it gets kinda stiff and congealed (due to the super-high meat content?), but adding a splash of water before serving makes it acceptable to His Majesty.

Felix loves this food
Felix, our 8 year old cat, has IBD. Our vet put him on Royal Canin potato and venison which he is not very find of. We use the Evo Venison as a mixer and he is very happy. Would prefer to eat just the EVO but its too rich for his system.

My Cats Won't Eat It
My cats (ages 3 and 12) will eat the Chicken & Turkey, but they sniff the Venison and leave it. It is dryer than the Chicken variety is. I tried to add more water and even fish oil to it, but they were not still not interested. Hopefully the cats at the humane society will appreciate it where my cats did not!

Good alternative to turkey based product
My husband and I had been getting the EVO turkey based food for our cat but he suddenly started scratching and itching himself more so we decided to rule out some things in his diet. The venison is a good alternative and our cat has done well with it. EVO is also grain free, so if your cat is sensitive to grains, this food is the way to go. Chewy really makes it simple to buy the food and we get our shipping free because we buy a few months' supply. Great product!

If you cat has allergies to certain foods, this might be one of the varieties of grain-free meals to choose. The meat itself seems very dry, so I add some water to the bowl and mix it up when I serve it. The cats seem to find it okay to eat although they don't go wild when I servie it.

The cat likes it!
My Siamese is not only a finicky eater, but is also allergic to most meats. Venison one of the few she can eat. She digs in, so must like it a lot. Thanks for having a great cat food, Chewy!

QUALITY GOOD - BUT MY CATS DIDN'T LIKE IT
I USE YOUR WET AND DRY CAT FOOD PRODUCTS ALL THE TIME. I HAVE 3 CATS AND 1 THAT IS DIABETIC SO I THOUGHT I WOULD TRY THIS FLAVOR AS A CHANGE. THEY DIDN'T SEEM TO LIKE IT VERY MUCH. THE INGREDIENTS ARE GOOD SO I AM GIVING SOME TO A FREIND TO SEE IF HER CAT LIKES IT AND SOME I WILL DONATE TO THE LOCAL P.O.A SHELTER FOR THEIR CATS.

Lots of wasted cans
My cats love this, and it ends up being pretty cost-effective when you account for the larger cans â or it would, if all the cans were in good shape. I ordered two cases and had to throw out five cans because they were badly dented. There are another four I am leery about, but since the dents aren't near the seam, aren't deep enough to have broken the can, and the seals seem to be intact, I will probably risk it.
Still, though, that's a fifth of my order so badly dented it had to be thrown out. And it's not a Chewy problem, since it was packaged perfectly and every other brand I've ordered has been in perfect condition. So as much as my cats like this product â especially my picky IBD cat who is limited to novel proteins â I doubt I'll buy it again unless I can find it in a pet store or I get so rich throwing out several dollars of pet food is no big deal.
