This is one of 3 types of food we feed our 2 cats each day.
They are happy, healthy and active with soft, shiny coats and bright eyes.

I'm always on the lookout for new healthy options for my cats. Feline Natural has limited ingredients without any additives. It's nice to be able to understand the list of ingredients in a food!
I love the convenience of freeze dried raw food. In this case, just follow the directions on the bag for the number of scoops required for your cat's weight. Then add warm water and stir. I like to scoop the Feline Natural nuggets into a zip lock bag and smash them up by kneading the bag with my fingers before putting it in the bowl to add water. This is an easier method and allows the food to soak up the water better. My cats like it better this way, too.
So far, most of my cats really enjoy Feline Natural. A few turn their noses up at it. You can't win 'em all! I feel good about feeding this brand, as well. It's a little on the expensive side, but it's good to have more options for raw feeding. I'm glad Chewy carries this product, and I'll keep buying it as long as my kitties keep eating it.

In my opinion, this is the best raw freeze dried food available for cats. I originally tried Primal but my 2 cat's were not a fan. My cats however beg for this food. I re-hydrate it with some warm water as the company recommends. The little pieces don't soak up all of the water, but my cats end up drinking all of the left over water once their done with the food which is great. If you do your research you will find that cats have an extremely low thirst drive and must derive about 75% of their water from the food they eat. Don't serve your cats a water depleted diet!! As far as the quality of the ingredients, this food doesn't contain any fillers like vegetables that are included in most of the other premium brands. I also like that I don't have to mush up the nuggets, my cats will pick them out of the bowl and chew them up! (This is how the company recommends feeding them). I feed this as my "fresh" raw alternative in combination and rotation with ZiwiPeak canned food and ZiwiPeak air dried food.

Rated 4 out of 5 by lunachick Wonderful ingredients - just wish my cat liked it a little better!
I've been feeding Primal freeze dried turkey formula to my cat for several months, and she was getting tired of it (she's pretty picky). She has allergic dermatitis and eats only this and a few other select foods, such as raw chicken in order to keep her allergies in check. I wanted to try this because I felt like it was time to introduce a little more variety into her diet, while staying away from grain, dairy and soy. She likes it, although I wouldn't say she loves it - I have to tempt her to eat it by adding a little nutritional yeast, which she absolutely loves. It is harder to reconstitute than the Primal was; it takes longer for it to absorb the warm water and I have to mash it with a fork to get it going. Bottom line: she appears to like it, it has not exacerbated her allergies, and I like that the ingredients are very simple and healthy for her.

Great for teeth because of bone content. Easy to make; just add warm water. Use it for my ferrets and cat. Wonderful product for anyone who only has time for canned/frozen fresh food.

I learned of this food from a trusted, unbiased blog which does much research on cat food. I gave this a try since I feed raw and decided this would be a good substitute for variety sake. My two cats really took to this since it’s very similar to their favorite freeze dried chicken treats. I was worried that it was in the form of a powder (which texture they do not like) but luckily it’s in the shape of a tube, about the thickness of a pinkie. Even though the instructions say you do not have to wait until the water is absorbed, I decided to do that after my cat tried to paw the food out of their bowl. I also stir it for about a minute to be sure the liquid coats the food, this way the water becomes flavored and my cats readily slurp it up. I also want to mention the fantastic customer service. I received my order the next day!

by Sugarcanepoet Best food I have found
It has the convenience of freeze dried and it is all wholesome meat ingredients. It is as close as a raw diet as can get for freeze dried.
Since it is understandably a little pricey, I mix it with Grandma Lucys, which lacks too much in protein, but has the taurine, and additional vitamins and minerals I want to make sure my cat gets, plus I have cat food for the whole month. So I am very happy with this combination. For variety, occasionally I mix a little Tiki tuna or fresh chicken kidney or meat.
The pellets can take a while to soften, but I rather have that than to lack in bone or adding potato or tapioca. This food has been the best quality I have found so far. I wanted to explore frozen raw, but the shipping is outrageously expensive and if the shipping is delayed, you might have to throw it away.

I was concerned that my cat might not like it because he has never had raw food before, but he gobbled it up all at once. Which for him is unusual, he usually eats about half and then comes back 2 or 3 times to finish it. Even though the feeding guidelines recommend not doing a gradual transitioning from the old food to this, I did it anyway because of my concern with the unfamiliarity for him of raw food. Now, I think he would have been fine without doing a transition. There was never any sign of stomach problems or diarrhea, in fact an added bonus was less activity in the litter box. He doesn't seem to go as much while on the raw, I'm assuming because it's digested better. One draw-back; because of the mixing with warm water it does take more time to prepare than popping open a can or bag of dry.
