Rated 5 out of 5 by Angelene Great for everyday brushing
This is a great brush to use for brushing a cat. I use this one on my British Shorthair cat and she does not mind it. It works great at getting the loose hairs out.
However, I would not recommend to use this one when checking for fleas. It's black and you will have a hard time seeing fleas.

Makes combing easier .... no slipping out of hand when giving flea baths.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RescueGirl007 Great for Fine Fur
One of my cats has very soft fine fur and is shedding like crazy. I could not find a comb or brush that would hold the fur and grab the loose pieces until I tried this product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by anonymous Nice comb but functionality is poor
I recommend the comb to anyone who just wants to use it as a comb. I do not recommend it as a flea comb. The black coating on the metal area of the comb makes it difficult or impossible to see what's being picked up by the comb. Fleas and their excrement are dark brown or black and they are not visible on a black background.
The handle is nice and long and great for just combing pet hair, but not small enough to maneuver in a human hand to be able to easily access small areas of the pet's coat. The purpose of a flea comb is to be able to detect the fleas and kill them immediately.

I thought this was a good grooming comb for my long hair cat. Unfortunately she gets aggravated if I comb her for more than a 35 seconds...I have another smaller comb she lets me use for 50 seconds before her tail starts twitching and she starts hissing, so I alternate. For a cat that likes to be groomed I think the Four Paws comb is great, especially the comfortable handle
