FURminator Short Hair deShedding Edge For Cats
I bought 2. One for my long hair Maine Coon and one for my other 5 short hair kitties. From what I can see there is no difference between the 'long hair' & 'short hair' brushes besides one has a gray plastic piece and the other has a blue plastic piece. If I had known there was no difference I would have only bought one and saved a bunch of money, since these brushes are quite expensive! All in all, it does work well. My kitties seem to enjoy them.

Definitely worth your money!
I've never had another brush for my cat that was this effective. It works to remove the undercoat, which is the major contribution to the fluff in my house. Just make sure that you don't brush them too much or you will remove all of the undercoat!

I can't believe the amount of hair Furminator removes. Makes coat look slicker and smooth, as it gets rid of dead dull hair. Liking it and my cats love their grooming time even more now.

OMG!!!! I had NO IDEA!
I have two cats that are both short hairs and I had no idea how much dead fur my regular cat brush was missing! Between the two of them I brushed a TON of hair off of them! I was absolutely flabbergasted! This is a wonderful brush and I can't thank my fellow pet owner friends for recommending this comb/brush. This a real investment in your pet and reduces hairballs.

This is the best tool I've ever used for "brushing" the cats.
We have 3 cats, one long-haired. Hairballs has been a continuing problem . I try to brush the cats regularly & have used different brushes. The Furminator works better than anything I've tried. Our big Snowshoe Siamese actually lies there & purrs while I brush him. Before it was a battle. The eject button is a great feature. We purchased the large size for short hair cats. It works well on all three. You must brush very gently & not press too hard. I plan to get the Furminator as a gift for our friends who have cats.

Great against Hairballs
We have a long hair who is always hacking up hairballs and for the longest time, was miserable because of it. We bought the furminator brush hoping it might take some of shedding fur off. Wow, every time we brush her we're amazed at how much fur actually comes off! Since we've been bushing her, she's hardly hacking anything. We also use the Pet Naturals Hairball treats and the combination is great. She's a happy girl again :)

A good product
I own four FURminator tools purchased over a few years. I recommend it with reservation. You can overdue it and take off too much fur if you don't pay attention. It does remove a lot of fur in a short time. I still use traditional brushes and combs to groom my cats along with the FURminator. It isn't necessary to pay more for the model that ejects the hair from the tool. The one without the ejector button cleans so easily there is no reason to pay more for the other. I like having a couple of different width FURminators and then use the appropriate size for fur removal.
