My cat broke out all over her body. After all the bloodwork etc came back we found out she had developed an allergy to corn (she is 7). She has eaten these before and never had and issue however I found out that pets can develop allergies later in life. This has corn as one of the ingredients which by the way is an allergen for dogs and cats, not to mention wheat, soy, gluten. It took about 3 months for the welts to all go away. It was horrible. So if your pet is itching, breaking out on their head, body around their mouth...food is usually the culprit. My advice...Stay away from the foods with the Corn, Wheat,Gluten, Soy and by-products. There are plenty of brands, (wellness, natural balance, blue etc) that have food without these fillers. Also, litter with dust is another issue. I have been through it all. Just trying to pass it on to everyone

Rated 1 out of 5 by SnowCat They do NOT clean teeth & contain UNWANTED INGREDIENTS
Our male cat has had Greenies "Dental" treats every single day all his life, but he eventually developed serious teeth problems.
Since then, I researched and found out that these dental treats are too small, and that cats do not chew them with the back teeth long enough to make any difference for their dental health.
Moreover, the main ingredients of Greenies dental treats are: Chicken Meal, Wheat Flour, & Corn Gluten Meal. Since treats seem such a small amount compared to food, I had not paid close attention to them before...and I really wish I had done so. We should not be feeding those ingredients every day to our furry children.
MORE EFFECTIVE DENTAL TREATS are made of FREEZE-DRIED MEAT without Carrageenan.

At first my cat didn't know if she wanted to eat these, but she had several teeth removed months ago so I believe she was figuring out how to eat them. Once she decided which side of her mouth to chew on, she LOVES them & it's really helping to keep her remaining teeth clean.

the green color is a little disconcerting to me, but Jax gobbles them up.
Another good chicken flavored dental treat to replace the now discontinued Pounce

We have 2 cats and they "cry" when they see me opening the bag/container. They can't get enough of this and it's good for their teeth. We're happy.
FYI: For flavor wise, they like the V.E.T Oral hygiene chews better.
