Greenies Feline Chicken Flavor Dental Cat Treats
Worst Option for Cleaning Teeth
These are alright as an occasional treat. Greenies are supposed to clean teeth, but in reality all they do is add plaque to the teeth. Carbs and sugars in dry food and treats stick to teeth when cats crunch them up, which causes plaque buildup. If you just want to give your cat a crunchy treat, these are not that big of a deal. But if you want to clean their teeth, these will NOT do that for you.

Cats love it
I have two cats over 8 and they started to have smelly breath and built ups around their teeth. After using this now for 6 month the teeth look great. I feed them every morning 2 and I have not noticed any smelly breath either after using this product for the first week. My cats all like it and I give it to all of them.

Treat and dental product
My cats love the flavored greenies. Both of them come
Running when I shake the bag. They get a treat and I get piece of mind knowing its good for their teeth.
Some times my dogs eat them too!

These treats are excellent; however, in moderation. I find that these dental treats need to be given in moderate amounts, three or four at a time, in order that they don't overwhelm my Syndar (7 lbs.) or MaineC's (17 lbs.) systems. I have found, for them, that the manufacturer's recommendation of (treats per day per pound) are too much. Perhaps it is only these dental chews, because I have used Greenies before without a problem.

My cat, who is seven years old, was getting a tartar buildup on her back teeth...and bad breath. I started her on the chicken flavored Greenies, and within a few weeks the tartar was gone, and so was the bad breath! I give her two in the morning and one at night. She loves them like treats. I am so happy I tried them.

my cats love greenies!
one of my cats really loves greenies; she comes and fusses at me until I go with her to the kitchen; she stands on top on her cat stairs in front of an empty plate until she gets her greenies. I like the size of the treat - they're big enough to stop her from inhaling them - she has to bite/chew them before swallowing them.

cats like it - I am not sure about the claims for dental cleaning
My cats do like these. The pieces are larger than the usual kibble so it's possible that chewing them might help clean the teeth but they are so easy to chew that I am not sure it really makes any difference. I'm using these as part of a comprehensive dental program including tooth brushing and am seeing decreased tartar but cannot ascribe it to this product specifically. I am sure it does not hurt. I do not like the fact that the top 4 ingredients include rice flour, wheat flour, and corn gluten meal so I will not be ordering more of these. I prefer grain-free products.
