Rated 5 out of 5 by CreamPuff Excellent Food My 14 year old Smokey was diagnosed with kidney issues and hyper thyroid-ism in August of 2014. I needed a cat food not only with low phosphate levels, but high quality protein as well. But not too high as kidney issues require low protein in some stages, while hypo thyroid-ism requires high protein for the weight loss and muscle wasting. I researched various brands of cat food over a month or so and decided upon this product as the safest and most nutritious food for him. I was tearing my hair out looking for safe food to feed him, some had two high phosphate levels but good protein or they're were low phosphate levels but not enough protein, or the carbs were to high. So I was elated to find that this product had met my requirements for my baby. He loves the home style chicken and meows for more. I'm grateful to Hills for this product. Rated 1 out of 5 by Nadia My cat hated it for some reason My 17-year-old calico (who is normally not that finicky) gave this a sniff, walked a distance away from it, and then just stared at me. When I coaxed her to give it another try, she repeated the procedure. I had bought a whole case based on the positive reviews here but apparently it's not for all cats! So, I donated the rest to a local rescue group. Just a warning that you might want to *try* it on your cat before buying a case. December 6, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by bluedog75 Hector seems to like it it must fill him up because he is not still looking for food after the can & some is still leftover in his dish December 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by CrochetGirl Size is important This small portion enables me to give a pill tablet to one of my cats instead of having to open a large can. October 31, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by CatNipped Great for older cats Our 15 year old cat loves Science Diet Minced Chicken. It is easy for her to eat (she has dental issues); and is easily digestible. It adds moisture to her diet, which is key, at her age. September 27, 2015
