Works great if your 6 lb. dog loves to be in carriers, our does. My husband is over 6 ft. & it fits him well. We keep it adjusted to fit him rather than constantly readjusting it to fit me {a small female}. I'm thinking of buying a 2nd backpack, and keeping the 2nd one adjusted to fit me. Our 6 lb. Maltese 'son' has been used to carriers since he was a small puppy. Our 'son' gets happy when he sees his back pack. The pack itself is sturdy and made very well & the 3 pockets hold: Poopie bags, small pack of doggie wipes, dog treats, tissues, keys, water, collapsible bowl, some makeup, ID & money. Our dog hangs both his paws out over the edge of the pack most of the time, I don't know if this is due to his small size, or because the pack slumps down a little and he feels he needs to prop himself up a little in it. He seems happy and content in it. I don't think a dog larger than 6 lbs. or 7 lbs. would be comfortable in this. July 17, 2014
love it On my long walk to the beach I pop the pup into the backpack and my bigger dog goes on the leash. The pup sleeps for the walk, then wakes up to play on the sand. He is about 3lbs ad has room to grow. June 6, 2014
