Merrick Purrfect Bistro Grain-Free Sliced Beef Wellington Canned Cat Food 4.7 5 9 9
my cat loves it My holistic veterinarian recommended I stop feeding my cat a 100% meat diet. The vegetables in this food have really helped with my kitty's chronic constipation issue (I alternate with other formulas, like Chicken A La King). Also, my cat really prefers the chunk formulas to the pate formulas. This food also has a pleasant smell. July 16, 2013
This product is grain free. My cats love the Purrfect Bistro canned foods. One cat must have grain free foods so this is a wonderful choice for him. They love the taste! July 29, 2014
Good, but not great Something about the beef formula was just not very appealing to my cat, although she does like the duck I got her just fine. It's a struggle to get her to touch the stuff (I have to mix it with other wet food), but if your cat likes beef, it might be ok. Disappointed by the lower protein content overall compared to Merrick's previous line of grain-free canned food B.G. Then again, better quality ingredients than what I used to feed my cat before switching her to a grain-free diet. Will not purchase again, but doesn't mean others shouldn't at least try it out. cats love this We are first time pet owner so we have tried to buy many different kind of can foods. My two cats prefer Merrick brand more than any others. January 26, 2014
So Far So Good! I have three kitties- a Maine Coon, a Turkish Van, and a tuxedo cat. My Maine Coon really enjoys this food and I really enjoy the price. He's not picky at all and will usually eat whatever I put in his bowl. My Turkish Van is finicky about food. She enjoys this, but isn't CRAZY about it. She never finishes a whole bowl of it, unfortunately. My tuxedo cat is super picky about canned food and won't touch this with a ten foot pole. It really just depends on how picky your cat is and whether or not they enjoy beef. This food's texture isn't exactly what I was expecting: it's sliced, but barely and it's got more of a loaf consistency until you mash it up. The ingredients are very healthy though! A little low on protein (I have very active kitties) but that shouldn't be a problem for low to moderately active cats. December 22, 2013
My finicky cat likes this! I buy Merrick canned cat food because it's grain free. My cat is a fussy eater but he really likes this variety. This particular flavor is actually in small bites/pieces rather than sliced as it says on the label. I think it's much better this way and makes it easier for a cat to eat. December 15, 2013
My three babies LOVE it! I read about Merrick in an article by a holistic vet recommending cats eat only canned food because of the moisture content, which is essential to maintaining good health. Merrick brand and Tiki brand were recommended because they are low in carbohydrates and closely approximate what kitties would eat in the wild. I mostly stick with chicken, turkey and duck, but my three love the beef in their rotation of flavors. They have lots of pep and their coats are soooo luxurious. They lick the bowls clean!! Kittens love it! Our kittens love this canned food. It contains great ingredients, no grains, and it smells really good (like human food). The chunks are the kind they love as well. Plus, it doesn't have a lot of sauce/gravy, so it's more economic. You can add some water if they love to drink some soup. August 13, 2013
