We have 5 cats and they seldom agree on the menu, and most would rather NOT eat any "diet" food, but all of them agree that this is tasty, and their svelte shapes attest to its effect.

I love this cat food for my chubbies as it helps them keep their weight down and keeps them full by not returning to their bowel. The con about this bag of food is that some of the dry food turns to powder. Not sure if anyone else has had this problem as well with this brand.

I started my new cat on this kibble because he was a butter ball of 16 pounds. He loves the food and I love the ingredients. No cellulose like in many diet foods!! He has been on it for a month or so and he is feeling a bit trimmer already. I just follow the portioning guidelines on the bag. I've also tried the wet version of this food as an occasional change up. Once he is at a better weight I plan on giving him the wet diet all the time. Much better for kitties kidneys than dry food.

Even my pet sitter was in shock that the low calorie dry food was the treat of choice for my Tabby, over any flavor of the wet food! I have never seen this before, so I know the flavor must be good.

by Joanne I may even try it!
I had two 19lb cats, and now have two 16lb cats. I tried every diet dry food I could find, this stuff WORKS! If you go by the directions your kitty will slowly lose weight and they love it!

One of my 14yo neutered male cats (who is not overweight) has had trouble with constipation, and since it wasn't a medical issue, I assumed it had to be food related. I try to feed him more wet food than my other two (another neutered 14yo male who is slightly "pear shaped" [as the vet put it]) and a 6yo spayed Siamese tabby mix (she's small, a little chubby, but not a lot), but realized I needed a dry food that had more fiber/bulk to it than what they all normally get (they eat at will from the same bowls). I tried this brand, based on the reviews, and it actually has seemed to help the one who has the constipation issue -- I don't hear him straining to go, and I haven't had to give him as much laxative as I used to to help out. The proof, as they say, is in the (pudding)! The other two DO eat the food, and they aren't starving, so I assume they like it enough...hard to say if they've lost weight, since they've put on their winter coats. BUT with all of this being said, I agree with the one reviewer who notes that this food is "mealy and powdery." I really don't like all the powder that is in the bottom of the bag, and actually have tried to sift it apart from the kibble (it works, but, takes too much time). Since I dump this food into a bin that has an airtight lid, the powder ends up at the top instead of settling at the bottom. My first inclination b/c of this would be to NOT order it again, BUT, because it actually seems to be helping my kitty with his poo issue, I will try to overlook this not-so-favorable aspect of the food....

Rated 1 out of 5 by tkemp Product is too mealy and powdery
I haven't been using it for very long so I don't know if it is a good weight loss product. However there is a great deal of loose meal in the product which makes it difficult to scoop out pellets without a lot of loose meal. I won't be buying this again

My 12 1/2 pound cat has lost two pounds. He is a diabetic so losing the two pounds has helped.
