The Natural Balance L.I.D. formulas seems to have changed. Before they were moist and soft, and the cats ate every last bit. Now they're dry and 'clumpy'. The cats aren't eating much of it and picking on the dry food instead. To be sure it wasn't just a "bad batch", I purchased some of it locally only to get the same results. I don't know what Natural Balance did, but I've had to switch to something else in order to get the cats to eat it.

by toothfairy Highly satisfied
My kitten was diagnosed with a ridiculous amount of food allergies and this is what all my cats have been eating for the past 6 years. They are the healthiest, happiest cats! I'm on auto ship and intend to add one more flavor for the next month. Another plus, Chewy was the best price!

The Natural Balance LID foods have almost the same ingredients as the Royal Canin LID foods, but they cost less and come in more flavors. My cat has food allergies, and keeping her on this food has kept them to a minimum.
She doesn't always prefer the Chicken, but overall it's a winner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Januarymoon Natural, less expensive than most and grain free makes it perfect for Diabetic or cats with Kidney issues
I have 4 cats of varying ages and needs, the two oldest have opposite needs, one diabetic and hypo thyroidic roams around the house looking for anything he can eat all day and the other has the signs of kidney dysfunction and is under weight and of course picky, picky, picky. Both cats have had almost all of their teeth removed.
It was suggested I try a more expensive, but similar, Grain Free product for them, but they hated it... ALL of them refused to eat it... well not the diabetic but... he'll eat your socks if you let him.
My Russian Blue has to eat one kind of dry food that seems to be the only one that keeps him out of emergency with crystals in his urine... but the other two cannot eat dry because as I said... no teeth... so as you may figure, cat food is a big deal around our house. I need to know that if the Blue gets into the wet food I am not back in emergency with him.
As an Executive with a ridiculously busy schedule, it is hardly good use of my time, making or worrying about cat food day after day.
This is the one product that has met all of our needs. It is expensive but so nutritious they eat less and it actually evens out in the end. They all seem to like it a LOT, yet I like to cover it with one of the select stews by the same company to keep "Mr Picky Eater" eating it all, but it has been an overall "Godsend".
Everyone is eating and it seems everyone is getting what they need out of the product. The Blue actually gets a tiny bit now of his own each day and he is FINE and seems to take it ok, even when he steals more than he should eat.
In just a few weeks "Mr Picky Eater" has put on weight and his coat looks better. Diabetic cat is still a mess but he is just always gonna be a mess until he leaves this planet and at least he isnt getting worse.
I am very happy with this product over all and trust me, we have tried many MANY products over the years.

Both my cats share a can of this every morning. I mix in a little water for the older cat who has some kidney issues. They love Natural Balance!
