Nature's Variety Instinct Grain-Free Salmon Formula Canned Cat Food
Slow start, but happy with now
I've recently switched my cats over to a grain-free diet and it has been a bit of a challenge getting them off the junky cheap foods. Salmon is proving to be one of the flavors they're willing to eat.

A favorite of my cat
I have tried the rabbit, beef, venison, chicken, salmon, and duck. I recommend the smellier of the wet food: the salmon, chicken, and duck. Although all of the products are excellent, my cat seems to prefer the ones that have a stronger smell. The beef, rabbit, and venison have very little smell at allâsomething I think attests to the cleanness and quality of the meatâbut my cat does not seem to enjoy it as much. As far as the beef, rabbit, and venison are concerned, the vet recommended warming the food in the microwave for 30 seconds to give the food a stronger smell. I do not like microwaves, so leaving the food out at room temperature seems to work for the beef, rabbit, and venison, although, once again, it is not a favorite. It is, however, worth a try like all Nature's Variety wet food products. It is the very best wet food I have encountered in my years as a pet owner, i.e. 10+ years. It is worth every penny.

My boys love it!
We were looking for a gluten free food that our 2 fourteen year old felines would eat now that they have developed skin allergies and picky dispositions. This one is a hit every time where others will have miss moments.

Nutritious canned food without toxic additives.
My boyz have eaten the dry Nature's Variety Instinct for months now so I wanted them to try the canned as well. They love the salmon flavor and I know it is a nutritious canned food without all the toxic additives or indigestible fillers that other brands have. No caragenan, corn, potato or sugars, just healthy food.

My Bengal Cats favorite...for now!
When I first got my Bengal kitten at 10 weeks I started him on another brand. Then after doing research I found Natures Variety which I'm glad I did. Now my Bengal kitten is 10 months old and is big, solid, sleek, shiny and so handsome. He loves the different varieties but right now his favorite is salmon. the great thing is, there is enough varieties to change his favorite flavor for quite some time. Oh and VERY fast shipping and a good price!

Our cats love this flavor
This flavor really appeals to our cats. It has more moisture than the venison (which they also like) and is the least in calories of available flavors (202). Recommend highly. One of our cats (calico) is a finicky eater but this is a flavor she really loves. Also important to note that instinct does not put carrageenan in the food. This is a HUGH plus. Our calico is highly allergic to that additive which is often found in other premium brand foods but increases inflammation. Thank you Natures Variety for NOT putting that horrible stuff in your high quality food!

Other Nature's Variety Instinct Flavors are Better
One of my cats just isn't into the flavor of salmon. The other may have a food intolerance to fish. Furthermore, I was a bit dismayed when on a few occasions, I saw tiny bones in the salmon formula canned food. I like that this food is grain-free and 95% meat. But, my cat just didn't like the salmon and I couldn't get past the bones. I HAVE had success with other flavors of Nature's Variety Instinct. It's a good quality cat food brand overall.

I have tried so many canned cat food brands. My cats snarf this down, making little happy cat noises. It is so good for them, 5 happy little campers.
