NaturVet Bitter YUCK! No Chew Dog & Cat Spray
Saved My Running Shoes
I have literally had to hang my running shoes up off the floor. One of my cats loves to chew the soft foam parts and laces. I used the Bitter Yuck. Sprayed the parts he likes to chew. Yes, he started again when I left my shoes on the floor, However, a few tongue licks into the process and he stopped without any damage to my shoes and walked away. IT WORKS! A cheap solution to save my costly running shoes. Worked on my husbands leather shoes the cat took a liking to also. Wear gloves when you spray because it LASTS. I have tasted it and can confirm it is "BITTER YUCK" but harmless.

Seems to work
After weeks of scolding my dog when it chewed the kindling wood pieces by the fireplace (bits of wood from old pallets which probably smelled wonderful to him) I used the product on the wood. He hasn't chewed any since.

My puppy liked!
My puppy actually LIKED the taste of this, but it got on my hands and even after I washed my hands multiple times I could taste it on my hands (when I rubbed my hand across my lips when I was washing my puppy's licks off and when I was eating a sandwich I could taste it on my food). It stayed all day and it was gross. It didn't come off no matter how hard I washed my hands, but my puppy just licked it up...not really something I recommend, but hey it might work for you, just didn't for me.

So Far So Good!
One of our rat terriers was destroying the wood around our back door, chewing on it whenever we left them outside while we were gone. We gave him every kind of chew toy and rawhide bone we could find to keep him from chewing and tried other spray-on remedies that were supposed to repel animals, but to no avail. This product, though, really seems to work. I tasted a tiny amount, and it truly is VERY bitter! I have sprayed it all around the wooden areas of the door a couple of times, and have seen no more fresh chew marks. Also, the product is water-based and seems to be safe for the surfaces it is sprayed on.
