Rated 2 out of 5 by Anything but chewable! After reading such rave reviews about the benefits of lysine, I decided to give these chews a try. Five of my seven cats were struggling with an upper respiratory infection, so I thought it was a good time to implement this essential nutrient into their diet. I was very disappointed when I opened the package and handled one of the so-called-chewables. There is no way I was going to give these to the cats since they are not soft and certainly not chewable. They are like stale gummies. Rather than waste the product, I used my thumb nail to scrape off small particles that I then mixed in with their food. Only two of the cats would eat their food. Our vet gave us lysine gel in a pump, so I tried it. One cat loves the gel and will lick it off my finger, and a few others will eat it if it's mixed in with a smelly food like tuna. If I can't give the bag of chews away, they will be thrown out, but I am going to keep trying to incorporate the lysine gel into my cats' diet. February 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beats using the powder Our male Maine Coon requires two doses of Lysine daily. Powder works but he'll only take it with wet food. Also a bit messy using the supplied spoon and the dose probably isn't always consistent. Took to the Lysine treats immediately. Twice a day, no mess and assured of a 250 mg dose every time. Recommend this product as long as your cat likes the flavor. Individual treats are slightly on the larger size but not large enough that he wouldn't gobble it down. May 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is very easy for the cats to take Very pleased with this site and people are very friendly and helpful. Our cats love the flavor of this product May 17, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Recommended for stuffy nose symptoms My 10-year-old cat has suffered from the herpes rhinotracheitis virus since she was a kitten. Lately, she's had sniffles and a stuffy head off and on. It makes her miserable! Not only will my finicky princess of a cat eat these like they're treats (I break them up because they are a bit tough), the actually seem to help with the stuffy nose symptoms. I didn't know what to do to help her feel better, and I was so glad these seemed to do the trick! April 29, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Hopefully they help my cat with herpes eye issues Chews are very hard. I have to break them up for my cats even try to eat them. Don't know how they taste but my un-finicky cats are not fans.. Maybe softer or smaller? May 4, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Easier than giving the cats the pill form I had been giving my cats lysine in a pill form. The pills are very large and I was cutting them into several pieces and using a soft treat to somewhat hide them. Both kitties took it well, but it was time consuming. I was also having someone watch the kittens while we were on vacation and didn't want to make giving them the lysine difficult. I was very excited to find these! My kittens love the taste, but they are very hard for them to eat if I give them the treat in one piece. I have to break each treat into about 6 pieces for them to be able to eat it. That being said, it is still much easier than what I was doing before! And the sitter was able to give it to them without any problems. April 1, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by My picky cat likes them My main concern was my extremely picky cat wouldn't eat them but she loves them. April 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product was recommended by my vet I was very happy with the price compared to what the pet stores charge for this product. My order arrived quickly. One of my cats loves it. I give it as a treat, the other is picky and only kicks it. Thanks April 18, 2016
