As long as Yoda's happy, I"m happy. He's an older cat and we want him to be happy and healthy for years to come.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Munchkin consistency too thick
Lots of good. Ingredients. But the consistency of the food is very thick. Had a hard time getting cats to eat. They like a food just a little looser. Probably fine for most cats just not mine.

my cats are picky eaters and they seem to enjoy this flavor. they generally don't like a "pate" type as they pefer lots of gravy or juice. I warm the can under hot water to make it juicy and they eat it right up.

by Liz825 Great for my senior cats
I have 2 cats, one 16 and the other 17. I recently switched to this cat food as it is recommended for 11+ years. They both love it! I like the way that it seems easier on their digestive systems than the more expensive brands that we tried.

Had a terrible time finding the product I needed in the big pet stores. Chewey had it at a better price and I had it in like 2 days.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ArkieGrannie They won't eat it
I have two 17 year old cats that are finicky eaters and getting thin. I though since this was made specifically for older cats it would be good for them. I am sure it would be if they would eat it. I think they like a moister texture than this has. They lick all of the moisture from it and leave the food.

Too many ProPlan flavors make you pay for "gravy," or "sauce," which to me is just another way of saying "Expensive H2O." We always have fresh water available for our cats -- we don't need Purina to add it in FOR u$. This isn't as solid as the ProPlan chunky chicken flavor (which my cats rate #1), but it's denser than the ProPlan urinary formula (which the kitties liked for a while, but now refuse to eat). All my cats are younger than 11 and are eating this heartily and doing well on it; but I would suggest supplementing this with a dry food or alternating it with a fattier food for younger cats.

The Pro Plan Focus group of foods is fabulous for older cats including my 18-year old gal. She loves it and it keeps her coat nice and soft.
