Purina Veterinary Diets NF Kidney Function Formula Canned Cat Food 2 2
The Only Kidney Function Formula He'll Eat My family and I recently adopted Romeo from the Humane Society, mainly because he was going on 10 years old and so incredibly skinny I knew it couldn't be healthy. Upon taking him to the vet, they theorized that he may be on the way towards Kidney Disease, if not already in the early stages. They gave me two sample wet foods to try, both of which he ignored out right and barely grazed the dry food. I tried milk, tuna water, eggs, and several other recommendations from forums. I also tried various other non-kidney formula cat foods to find out what he DID like... Upon noticing he preferred Purina, I asked the vet if they made a Kidney formula and was written a prescription. He dove right into it, though he still does eat for a while, leave, eat for a while, leave, I'm just happy he's EATING. Sometimes, I add a little of the regular Purina too it, when he's being especially finicky or some water to soften it, but it seems to be working well for Romeo. I'm just hoping he'll gain some weight soon. :/ It also has the added benefit that, if unmixed, neither of the other two cats will touch it (the dogs are another story, however...). November 29, 2013
Cat does not like this product. MaxiCat does not like the pate' style nor the aroma of the Purina NF. Would not recommend for finicky eaters. November 26, 2013
