I do kitten resue and my little ones 3-4 weeks old can start to eat this. I mix with kitten milk then heat in the microwave and they just gobble it up.

by kittymomma41 Elderly kitty supplement!!
Loved finding the very last review to be from someone else using this for their elderly cat as a supplement to get some calories/nutrients in them when not really eating other normal foods. I read through all thinking I was crazy to do so and always worry about doing something bad for her, but I remembered using this along with using the KMR Step 2 powder mixed with other foods or this to supplement her elderly sister last year before she passed from cancer and Jelly loved it then too when she insisted on sharing....so when I was desperate to get her eating good and needed soft- I thought of this loaf!! So, thanks for a great food for more than just kittens ;-) (got the idea from the can of KMR that suggested for use in elderly or convalescing older cats as supplement) Only problem is that she turns her nose up at her normal food and wants this!! haha I have trouble finding in town- Petco which is closest only sells the big cans which are pricey (2.50!) and invariably even with this stuff there is waste as she can't eat it all before it has to be refrigerated and she never eats stuff after that no matter WHAT I try! :-) I know what that one reviewer was talking about with larger cans usually being less per ounce but this food for whatever reason is just that price for the large cans- even in the store! I'm just trying to decide if I really want to invest in 24 cans of it....guess I'm hoping I don't need that many!! ;-)
Btw, she eaten dry food from this brand ever since changing from a prescription diet they were on for many years- eats the skin and coat one (?name) as it helps with hairballs and makes her coat even silkier than before! (another thing she inherited from her sister who was put on it for her longer hair and skin issues!) loves it and easier to eat (not as hard as some and large enough to actually bite/chew and not just swallow completely whole like the tiny kibble).

Rated 5 out of 5 by anton13 Royal Canin Babycat Instinctive is an excellent kitten growth food.
I would highly recommend Royal Canin Babycat Instinctive for anybody that has a kitten four months or younger. It builds a good foundation for the kitten's wellbeing and growth. Well worth the extra pennies spent.

I am using this food for my kittens because they like
it. How do you justify charging $59.99 for the 5.5
oz can and $26 for the 3 oz can?. $59.99 is more
than double the price for the 3 oz can. Normally
the 5.5 to 6.0 oz cans or less per ounce because their
is less packaging. Makes no sense. Chewy has a
good price on the 3 oz can. Not at all good on the

I know this is for kittens, but my 14 yr old, no teeth loves it. So do my other cats!

Rated 5 out of 5 by btl07 My cat really loves this food.
I am feeding this to my elderly cat to supplement his other food. He had been losing weight and I was very concerned. Also, he has never liked chicken cat food and I was not sure he would eat this. But he loves it! And I am grateful.

Great product range. Royal Canin products and this site were recommended to me by Calling All Cat Rescue -- glad I listened.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OCLJ I see amazing results with this food
This is the only food I feed my kittens that come into my animal rescue. They thrive, recover from whatever was ailing them when they arrived, grown and do amazingly well with this diet. It is extremely palatable, easy to eat, easy on digestive tract and worth every penny.
