Product Description

Whether you love cats for their beauty, their elegance or their agility, a cat is above all a companion. That’s why lifestyle, sensitivities and age are all crucial considerations when it comes to choosing the right nutrition. Royal Canin Indoor Mature 27 is designed to meet the specific nutritional needs of indoor mature cats. Cats living exclusively indoors have a more sedentary lifestyle, lower energy requirements and a higher risk of obesity. The lifestyle of the indoor cat, sheltered from temperature variations and changes in day length, disrupts the natural seasonal cycle of fur growth. This means indoor cats shed almost continuously, and paired with long grooming sessions, have an increased risk of hairball formation.

Key Benefits

  • For indoor cats over 10 years of age
  • Powerful antioxidants including vitamin E to help combat the impact of free radicals responsible for cell aging
  • Softer kibble that helps protect sensitive gums and teeth
  • Improved digestibility may contribute to smaller and less foul smelling feces

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 33 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Loves it. My senior cat, aged 10, and my senior foster cat, aged 13 and very picky, both love this food. May 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tried both Adult 27 and Mature 27 My 16 year old tabby boy loves both Royal Canin products, but it does appear as if he really likes the Mature 27 over the Adult 27. It is very expensive compared to others, but it does have the glucosomen he needs for his older joints and bones. May 1, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by One of my cats loves this The 12 year old female cat with what I suspect are sensitivities to both wheat gluten and now corn gluten can't eat this without throwing up and then having diarrhea a few hours later. The other cat (10yr old male tabby) loves this and begs for it. No digestive issues. I wish RC made dry cat food without any kind of gluten in it. April 15, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Vet Rx at reasonable price My 13 year old cat was losing weight and appeared lethargic. Our vet recommended this for her primary diet for life. I've noticed significant positive changes in the year with her vibrant health and spunk. I inherited her from my mother and promised to care for her after she died. Chewy offers this at a reasonable price so I may afford this food for her. March 24, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Cats love it Now as far as RC formulas go, this is a decent product. Other than corn gluten meal, the other stuff is good. Some of their other formulas are not so good. The cats love it. But I mix it with Blue Buffalo Health Aging and Chicken Soup Senior. The reason I even bought it is because I have a cat that is eating a RC prescription diet that is pure junk, seriously--chicken by product meal and corn gluten meal. He's got GI cancer and is on his way out, so I just want him to eat. I don't want my other cats to eat it so I made a compromise. I'm of the opinion that cats aren't cows or pigs and they shouldn't be fed a mostly corn based diet which RC and Science Diet produce. And they love this junk food because it's sprayed with an animal digest that enhances the flavor. Buy it if you can't find anything else that suits your needs. January 3, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by my picky cat eats this. I have a 16 year old cat with hyperthyroudism and beginning stages of kidney disease. He really won't eat his Kidney formula food regularly. I am looking for food for an older cat that he will eat! He does eat this food and seems to like it. Wish it had more calories so he could put on weight though. He aldo has bad teeth so the softer kibble probably makes it easier for him to eat. February 8, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best food for my cat My cat loves this product! She is almost 14 and acts like a teenager! And I think it's because of the balanced nutrition in this food. January 26, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by all my cats love this food! This product was recommended for our 17 y.o. cat who was just starting to have renal issues. Now Austin's creatine is within normal limits. He is doing so well he did a 360 degree backflip! December 29, 2015
