Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Dental Dry Cat Food

Royal Canin Veterinary Care Nutrition Dental is a complete and balanced cat food that provides precise nutrition for adult cats and is specifically formulated for plaque and tartar control.

Key Benefits

  • Brushing Effect - The texture and shape of the kibble produce a gentle abrasive effect on the teeth during chewing. This mechanical action provides a brushing effect to reduce accumulation of dental plaque.
  • Plaque and Tartar Control - Sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP) binds salivary calcium making it unavailable for the formation of calculus, and a specific nutrient incorporated by ROYAL CANIN helps reduce dental plaque build-up.
  • S/O Index - This diet promotes a urinary environment unfavorable to the development of both struvite and calcium oxalate crystals.

NOTE: Royal Canin veterinary diets require a veterinary prescription. This product ships directly from Royal Canin and will arrive separately from other products ordered from Chewy.com. Great for plaque My vet recommended this food to me for my cat that has pretty serious plaque. It helps to strip the plaque from their teeth. I paired this with a bottle of AquaDent that helps with plaque, too. Great for those of us that can't afford teeth cleaning. April 24, 2014
Royal Canin High Energy dry food We have 3 cats and one has had an intestinal problem since we got her at 5 months old. We tried many dry foods but nothing helped her with diarrhea. Meanwhile the 2 other cats could eat anything but the other always managed to eat their food. Then the vet told us that the Royal Canin High Energy dry food would stop the diarrhea and it did. The other 2 cats love the food as well and finally we are one happy family after 5 months. April 8, 2014
Product can prevent expensive vet bills We spent $$$$$ having our cats teeth cleaned ... hopefully this product will prevent this in future. Cat LOVES dental food ... March 13, 2014
Great for cat with dental problems We needed a lot of dental work on our 15 year old female feline. Our vet recommended this product and gave us a small sample. It is costly, so we combine it with her regular dry food and she just gobbles it up. Seems to be working. We recommend it...pete October 16, 2013
My cats love this product. This is a great tasting food my cats wait for every night. I use it as their bedtime snack (just a few morsels) which acts like their nighttime tooth brushing. They love it & I like how it promotes better dental care. July 21, 2014

I highly recommend Royal Canin dental, it is the best, I give my cats some as their treats each morning! First thing each morning I put several dental crunchies in their bowl, they are so excited to eat these, I'm so happy that their teeth are getting cleaned, removing any tartar. I have 3 cats, age 7. They are fed once a day at dinnertime but they look forward to their morning dental treats. I've been doing this since they were one year old. The vet says their teeth, gums are in excellent shape & they never had a dental cleaning yet! July 15, 2014
