Rated 5 out of 5 by 8kittiesstrong Kidney patient loves it
We have a senior citizen whose decreasing kidney function had him very dehydrated earlier in the summer. He was prescribed subcutaneous fluids and other supplements, as well as LP food. He didn't enjoy the LP initially, so we didn't push it.
When he didn't improve much, the doc insisted he eat LP. We tried it again, and now he loves it. He's back to his old self, running the household. He primarily eats the canned version, but we bought him dry food for an occasional treat. Loves both.

Unfortunately, Chewy no longer carries the Modified in Gravy version of the Renal LP, which had bits of food smothered in gravy and she would eat it up. But after trying this version, she just walks away.

Rated 4 out of 5 by KellyH Bought the wrong kind for my finicky cat
After eating another brand of renal support catfood for a couple of years, my cat decided that he didn't like it anymore, so I tried him out on a couple of different kinds that I picked up for full price at my vet. By far, he liked the Royal Canin morsels in gravy best, so I decided to buy a case for less here. However, I didn't notice that the morsels only come in the 3 oz. size cans and bought these 6 oz. cans instead, not realizing that they were different. He really doesn't seem to like the pate-type food anymore, so I am stuck with a two month supply that he will barely eat. This is still a good quality catfood though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Catguardian99 Definitely worth trying for finicky cats
This was the only prescription renal wet food my cat would eat after coming home from the vet hospital. Pate texture makes it easy for her to eat, especially if you have to assist feed. Even when she didn't want to eat on her own, she enjoyed licking it off my fingers. If you've already given your cat other renal wet foods without success, this may be worth trying. Only wish it came in more than one flavor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ELIZSHEP THIS PRODUCT GOES WHERE NO CAT FOOD WILL BE EATEN.
Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Renal LP Modified Canned Cat Food has been a great replacement of the other cat food I was using. They have enough chicken to make it palpable. Add a little chicken stock and my two eaters don't leave any food to waste. Great product

Rated 5 out of 5 by Virginia My cat likes it!
My cat loved the old formula of little bits, so I was hesitant to try this new formula which is a pate. She ate it all up the first time & continues to love it. For renal disease kitties, this is a good choice.
