Customer Ratings & Reviews

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 30 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent food for my 10 yr old cat Sweetie who was recently diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. She is able to eat without throwing up now. Sweetie had been throwing up on a semi-regular basis for most of her 10 years, never anything serious....then 6 months ago she got really sick and could not quit throwing up. After extensive testing over several days at the vet, she was diagnosed with IBS and the vet recommended the Royal Canin PD diet. After not being able to eat for 5 days, we were concerned we would not be able to get her to eat again....but she immediately took to the Royal Canin PD. It was a success...she likes it and it is easy on her IBS. She has the occasional upset stomach, but not as frequently nor anything like the IBS attack she had. She is much happier and feeling better! May 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Expensive But Helped My Kitty My vet prescribed this food when my adopted senior kitty began to throw up from a sensitive stomach. Once she started on this food, she has had less tummy troubles. My cat seems to enjoy the taste and it has really helped her health problems. If your cat is having trouble or throws up a lot, have your vet check them out; it could be a food allergy or sensitive stomach; this prescription food was the answer to my cat's issues. Rated 5 out of 5 by No more allergies! Hi to all, I buy this dry food because my cat is allergic to a lot of proteins, including pork, and this brand really does the trick for her. She loves these and the scratches are gone for good. February 14, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cat likes, doesn't throw up anymore, very pricey It's hard to give food this expensive an "excellent" but it's definitely good because my cat was throwing up several times a week on his old food and even other duck / pea food didn't help. This is the only dry food he's been able to consistently keep down. In the grand scheme of things, it's a small price to pay for the health and happiness of my furry baby. (Though I work extra hard to make sure the other cats don't steal his food - they do fine on more affordable other high-quality foods.) I wish they made some treats but they don't. When the other cats get a little treat, I give my sensitive boy a few extra kibbles so he's not left out. May 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Food My cat has developed a food allergy and suffered prolonged intestinal distress. She actually purrs while eating this food. Her digestion has improved greatly. My other cats would eat this food if I let them (even my fussy eater). Well worth the investment in my cat's health. August 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent for cats with sever protein allergy This has been a saver for my cat. After over $23,000 cost of hospitalization (yep, new york!) and nearly losing him on two occasions, he has been a happy cat ever since his doctor started him on this product. It is a complete food. my cat still likes his fresh window grown catnip and cat grass, but this is pretty much what he eats for food. and his has been happy and peppy for the past 5 years. Thank you Royal Canin (despite the huge price you charge) May 26, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cured our cat of skin lesions from food allergies Our cat Preston developed food allergies around age 11 that caused his skin to form lesions all over his body, causing discomfort, fur loss, and lethargy. After treating with veterinary medicines for six months (and over $500), we tried Royal Canin Hypoallergenic food and within several weeks Preston was back to his old self. We have several cats, so all are on the same diet, and all are healthy. While they prefer 'tastier' food, they eat just fine and have been sympton-free for a whole year. January 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for a cat with IBS We have a cat with IBS and alot of foods make him sick. We tried alot of different dry foods for sensitive stomachs and this was the only one that worked. This food comes in different flavors including rabbit and duck but my vet said that most cats prefer the duck. April 19, 2013
