My cat needs this diet because it is low in fat, he has pancreatitis. I am sure I am paying more because it only comes in the tiny cans, but it is just so expensive. I have a 20lb Maine Coon that needs to eat about 6 of these cans a day! Wish there was something Royal Canin could do about the cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mary64 Great product so far
I have four cats and out of the four two have chronic digestive issues. After every test pertinent to the issue the vet put them on a brand of cat food for IBS. They ate it for awhile but were still having bad diarrhea…then they just stopped eating it unless I added inexpensive canned food to it. Things really got ugly after that…explosive diarrhea. The constant cleaning of litter boxes, walls, and kitty butts was just about to send me around the bend. THEN, after venting to our ever patient Vet, he suggested we try Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Gastrointestinal Fiber Response Dry Cat Food. Unbelievable!! They absolutely LOVED it…chowed down like there was no tomorrow. There was about a week of adjustment to the food…lots and lots of poo but NO diarrhea. Since then the amount of poo has lessened, it has a good consistency and NO diarrhea and they still love the stuff. I've tried them on the wet food but they aren't as crazy about it as the dry even though they were on canned food before.

My Khole who was diagnosed as far as we could test with I.B.S. Is doing very well on this with Fonta Flora mixed in. A very small mixed in ,and she has not been ill in almost a year. She has also lost 12.5 lbs.,along with vet. dry food also. Se has lost a whole kitty and is very happy & healthy. I recommend this to any one with a cat with G.I. problems. It really works!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by kstew82 My picky eater loves this food
My 10 year old cat George is probably the pickiest eater I've ever had. He won't eat anything made by Hills Science Diet and picks at Purina ProPlan but he LOVES this food! He has a sensitive stomach and was vomiting quite a bit, but hasn't vomited with this food. He never used to clean his plate, but he eats every last bit of this food. He begs for it every morning which is new too. I would HIGHLY recommend this food to anyone with a picky eater who has digestive issues. It's pricy, but worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HappyKittyMom It tastes good too...
I have two rescue kitties on this food. Both have compromised digestive systems. They enjoy this food very much; it must taste good as they don't leave any behind. It's definitely helped with all the digestive issues. I am so glad to have found a food they like that doesn't upset their tummies. We are now looking forward to many happier, healthier days thanks to Royal Canin's gastrointestinal prescription food.

My cat is very picky. I have purchased every single wet canned food for GI problems. She has inflammatory Bowel. She loves the gravy in this food. A lot of the other pate GI food is to thick. This food along with meds and my cat is all better! This is her favorite. They should make more morsel with gravy flavors!
