My cats seem to like it. I like that they have to actually "chew" it to eat it, so it seems to be good for their teeth. Other foods they "break" and/or eat whole - where's the benefit of hard food if they swallow it whole?

We have 2 cats that each have a special issue.
9yr old Mortie has irritable bowel, & we have sampled an array of foods to try minimizing his digestive troubles. At first he wasn't going for it. But soon after leaving it in the bowl for our other cat, he was eating only this food - which says a lot after he has totally rejected many others. We did not do full allergy testing (expensive!) but I believe chicken & its meals are the biggest problem, & it was hard to know if grains were contributing. So this simpler fish-based food seems to be helping (no vomiting & stool has firmed back to a 'workable' state) & he actually likes the taste. Plus the disc shaped bits seem to be easier for him than the more common pellet shaped kibble.
13yr old Ollie has slightly diminished kidney function so we keep an eye on certain ingredients & his ability to absorb them. Plus he is now at the mercy of Mortie and the stripped-down recipes he requires (they can never totally leave each others food alone so get fed the same). But Ollie immediately liked the taste of this, & after eating it a short time the sheen has come back to his coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by franklin Excellent Food
My pet store owner suggested it and it is excellent. Cat was previously on a diet food prescribed by his vet. and was actually gaining weight. Also his urine smelled awful. After a while he just wasn't eating. When I changed to this as suggested I was shocked! Not only does he love it (I mix it half and half Taste of the Wild Canyon River with Taste of the Wild Rocky Mountain) but he has lost a considerable amount of weight, is healthy, has more energy, and his urine does not smell. Excellent product.

I used to love Taste of the Wild...love the ingredients. However, like so many premium foods, it's been bought out by Diamond....then you start getting the recalls. Their quality control is now an issue. I'm a breeder of Persians, and this is too important to me. I will be switching to Life's Abundance as it is 'owned' by the distributors and they answer to them. There's no chance that they will be bought out by a big company that takes short cuts.

Neither one of our two cats would eat this food. We are trying to get them off Science Diet kibble, but this kibble was not the trick. We figured since our dog loves TOTW, that our cats would as well. Not the case! The kibble itself is very large and almost the same size as the dog kibble. We are now trying the Blue Buffalo cat food and so far so good. Thanks anyways!

I have an older cat that is obese, he had issues with his previous food, so I wanted to try a grain free diet. He is doing much better now no vomiting. I cannot get this brand in my town, have to drive 30 miles to get it. Love the fact that it is delivered to my doorstep with free shipping and the price is very competitive.

First time I have ordered cat food to be delivered to me. I was surprised at how quickly it arrived to my house. I will continue to buy it from this website instead of going to Natural Paws and paying more for it there.
