I like grain free food for my cats. This feed gives them the protein they need. I have two cats. One is 12 human years old and the other is 4. They both come in and out as they prefer. They do much better on grain free food. They are happy, strong, active and somewhat bratty. But I would not have them any other way. The younger one hunts and brought in a screech owl a couple of years ago. The owl was not injured and stayed with me in my bedroom until dawn. I locked the two cats out of the bedroom. The owl managed to fly out of a window that could only be opened a foot high. I think I saw that owl the other morning. I was peering out my window and the owl craned its neck to stare at me in my people box. What a hoot. December 28, 2012
Suspicious about cat sickness and this food Both of my cats developed high white blood cell counts after starting this food. Vet thought it might be salmonella. This food was on a recall list back in April but is now clear for distribution. I contacted Mr. Chewy and got a very prompt answer that there were no recent issues, but I am fearful. I was very impressed with the prompt response on Chewy's part. It may well not be the fault of this particular food, but I am afraid to continue its use. Chewy offered to substitute, which I thought was a nice gesture. December 29, 2012
All three of my cats love this I have fed the two youngest cats Taste of Wild since they were kittens. I live in the sticks and have to travel about 90 miles to buy this, when I ran out the first time I bought a common brand found in the grocery store. I cleaned up cat puke for two days until I could get to the feed store to buy Taste of Wild. Now that I have found this site, I hope to never run out again! My cats are very healthy, not overweight, the litter box is MUCH easier to clean and doesn't smell all of the time. January 20, 2013
Cats seen to enjoy My 6 indoor cats and 4 barn cats all seem to enjoy the food. I have noticed fewer hairballs in the indoor cats. They all have healthy coats and seem to thrive on this food. March 7, 2013
Perfect food My pet store owner suggested it and it is excellent. Cat was previously on a diet food prescribed by his vet. and was actually gaining weight. Also his urine smelled awful. After a while he just wasn't eating. When I changed to this as suggested I was shocked! Not only does he love it (I mix it half and half Taste of the Wild Canyon River and Rocky Mountain) but he has lost a considerable amount of weight, is healthy, has more energy, and his urine does not smell. Excellent product. September 18, 2012
Only food kitty liked but reluctant now Though this bag has good dates as to voluntary recall, my cat seems to only pick when she used to gobble it up. I used to note how gamey it smelled ,yet not this batch. Perhaps the mix a little different. I am nervous about recall but my cat eats nothing else. But would suggest caution . We were desperate ,stay watchful. May 24, 2012
Reasonably priced, high quality, palatable cat food Cats like this food, they eat less of it as it is very high quality and stools are improved on this product. Dry and formed. Good for cats who have generally soft stool but do not have a disease or parasite causing soft stools. My vet recommends this product. April 13, 2012
Cats Consistently Like this Food I try to give my cats some variety and keep 3-4 brands in the rotation. This one is always a favorite whereas some of the other brands may fall out of favor with my cats. I can always count on this one. The ingredients are good, it's reasonably priced in comparison to some of the other premium brands, and most important of all, the cats like it. December 29, 2012
