Rated 5 out of 5 by CatMan Highest protein content in canned cat food
I choose to feed my cat Puka Puka Luau because of the quality and simplicity of the product. What you see is what you get when you open the can: shredded chicken (real shredded chicken, not chicken meal pressed into shredded shapes) in broth. It is very low odor and the ratio of chicken to broth is very good.
Since my cat is on a diet, I prefer the bulk of his calories to come from protein, not carbs. Tikipets list the Puka Puka Luau as having zero carb content, low fat, and very high protein. The price is actually economical for me since I base my cat's diet on calories/oz. I can actually buy less cans since Puka Puka Luau has the highest calorie content/oz compared to chicken formulas of other cat food brands. My cat actually doesn't like plain chicken, so I mix this formula with a little bit of Tiki Cat's Hawaiian Grill to make him more interested.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CatCat A senior cat's favorite
My wonderful senior cat has become very finicky so, of course, I am always looking for food she is enthusiastic about. Tiki Cat Puka Puka Luau is perfect ... she eats every bit of it very enthusiastically. I may try the other varieties but, for sure, I will be giving her a can of this every day: highly recommended by my cat :-)

Trying to get my 2 cats to eat wet food has been quite a challenge for 3 years! Both got used to commercial kibble at the shelter for 4 mos. before I adopted them and although they are fed Farmina now, (were fed Orijen) my preference is for them to eat raw and at the very least eat mostly wet. Thank goodness for chewy.com! For almost 3 years these cats have tried most of the best food available. Oftentimes they'll pick and leave 98% untouched. They both actually like and eat this food. I tried the gourmet versions--just the chicken combos, but they wouldn't even drink the consomme! They like both varieties of the basic chicken and chicken and egg. It's wonderful to see them eat wet food!

Popped open a can of this for Max, our diabetic cat. It has zero carbs which is perfect for diabetic cats (plus, it's grain free) and the reason I bought it for him. Shredded white meat chicken, it looked and smelled like chicken fit for human consumption!! I couldn't believe the difference between this and all of the other canned cat food I'd given him in the past. WOW! I cannot recommend this brand of cat food enough, it is incredible. OH-forgot to mention that Max absolutely loves it, he starts to eat it the second I begin to spoon it into his food bowl. Great job, Tiki Cat-thank you!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Asohl Cats love it, and it's a healthy food
I mix it with their Royal Can in S/O moderate calorie, a can of each every morn. I believe it's the best mix I could give them. One of my cats is 20 years old, two are 18 years.. and they are in great shape, thanks to the food they eat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lauren very highest quality
As other reviewers have noted, it is very densely packed shredded white meat chicken of outstanding quality in a tasty broth, all of which my cats love. Worth the slightly higher price compared to other brands, because they pack so much into the 3 oz. can.
