Product Description

Vetericyn is a non-toxic and non-irritating, broad-spectrum antimicrobial that in solution kills 99.999% of most singlecell pathogens in 30 seconds, including antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria as well as fungi, viruses and spores. The active ingredient is hypochlorous acid which is generated in activated neutrophils and contributes to the destruction of bacteria. This process is similar to the response given by the pet's immune system. Vetericyn does not contain steroids, antibiotics, alcohols, iodine or tea tree oil, making it safe for a wide range of animals with even the most sensitive systems. Vetericyn is non-toxic and does not harm healthy tissue. The pH of Vetericyn is manufactured in an appropriate physiological range so that it will not sting when applied.

Customer Ratings & Reviews

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 20 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product My GSD has both food and inhalant allergies. I switched him from Purina HA to Royal Canin hydrolyzed protein food. At the same time I began using Vetericyn HydroGel. The whole time he was on the HA food (2 years) he had recurrent staph infections, and ear infections. They decreased in frequency on the HA but he still required antibiotics and steroids every 8 -10 weeks. Since switching to the Royal Canin, I have also been spraying his groin area nightly with Vetericyn. He has gone 6 months now without a staph infection!!! Because I changed two things at once, I can't be absolutely certain that it is the Vetericyn or the diet change and the Vetericyn that has made such a huge difference. It clearly feels soothing on his skin because when I reach for the bottle he comes to me to be sprayed. If his face starts itching I spray Vetericyn on my hands and rub it into the fur on his face. For his ears I spray a cotton ball with Vetericyn and clean his ears and the itching stops. I wouldn't be without the stuff! It has made a HUGE difference in my dog's quality of life. July 22, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wound care for animals I work in a greyhound kennel and they have very thin skin and always seem to be nicking or cutting themselves on something. We have been using Vetericyn Wound and Skin Care Hydrogel for about 5 years now. It kills all germs and even supposed to kill Mursa. We buy the gel because it doesn't run off the wound. I highly recommend it. December 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by It works every time I've used the spray on our dogs, horses and people for years. It works quickly to heal minor cuts and irritations. I. Like this gel cuz it is more likely to stay on the skin. Not runny like the spray. December 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by It Works! What I found to be a more convenient way to treat abrasions and our dogs that it is a it does not drip and stays on the wound longer and heals much better and faster. This is my second bottle....of which I went "big". I am happy to have found this product. It was suggested by my mother who has horses...and was recommended by her Vet. October 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by AWESOME Product I decided to buy this when my puppy was groomed by a friend and she cut him under the arm. After the scab came off (which took about 8 weeks).. I started spraying the Vetericyn on the area and within days the redness cleared up. This product is a MUST in every pet household. June 3, 2014
