Virbac C.E.T. Oral Hygiene Fish Flavor Cat Chews
This product received a mixed reception at my multi cat household ranging from greedy growling to "what the heck is that". I think the apprehension is solely due to the size of the treats because all of my cats went crazy for the smell but some seemed confused at what to do with something so big. The confusion didn't last long, however. Everyone is waiting for their treat after the evening feeding now. For those cats who seem to have difficulty eating these at first: I removed the peel around the treat (I believe it's pressed fish scales) for the first few days to make things easier which helped a lot. I believe these treats are helping with tartar issues as well but I can't vouch for it completely because I also use the toothpaste and rinse along with this poduct.

do not recommend
the 'crunchy' part of these treats is simply a plasticy wrapper around the treat that my cats found strange. Too expensive for what they are.

My cats ate it, but with no more gusto than their beloved Greenies which are a lot cheaper and get the teeth cleaning job done.

Only treat my cats will eat!
And it is good for them....any time I order from chewy.com I will include these...they go through them fast and chewy has a great price too!

Most treats are smaller, bite sized, which means the treats touch the cats teeth very little. This treat, being larger means the cats teeth are in contact with the treat for a longer period of time. I believe this treat will serve my cats teeth much better.

My cat loves these treats and can't wait to get his paws on them.
I give this treat to my cat after his insulin shot so he is very well behaved in order to get his treat as soon as possible.

Easier than brushing
Much easier than trying to brush a cats teeth, although still waiting to see if they are effective at the next visit.

excellent high nutrition training treat
Used this for years now as a training treat, e.g. to train entering/exiting his condo crate. Blueberry remains a healthy 13yo playful, energetic, and co operative cat with good dentition and a clean mouth.
