Wellness CORE Grain-Free Original Formula Dry Cat Food
this is a great food. less premium foods are like feeding your cats pop tarts and doritos, and of course if you try to switch them instantly, they won't like it. cats need to be switched over slowly, with a bit more food being added every day until they are used to the taste of the new foods. this process can take two weeks depending on your cats and they're eating habits. if you went from eating pop tarts to instantly eating broccoli, you wouldn't like it either.
i use this food because the ingredients are healthy, and having 7 cats i need to do as much preventative maintenance as possible. all my cats are healthy, and i've been feeding them this for years. they love all the junky cat foods because, well, it's like candy. tastes yummy but full of junk.
as a vet student i know that diet is the number one thing that leads to health problems and i take my cats health seriously. vet visits are expensive and feeding your cats a premium food can save you money in the long run.
also, to the woman that thought her cats had flea dermatitis-- if your cats skin issues cleared up due to diet, chances are it's a food allergy, not a flea allergy. food allergies are very common among cats and dogs, and many health issues can be fixed simply by diet alteration.
i don't work for wellness, i'm just here to say this is a great food. premium foods do make a difference to your animals health.

Wellness makes excellent pet food.
Some may feel that good quality pet food is too expensive, but my experience has shown that when you serve what is recommended, overall, the cost is about the same as lower quality pet food.
Pets need more of the lesser quality food to fill their needs, so you use more. Good quality pet food lasts longer because they need less since it is of higher quality and provides better nurishement for your pet.
I have had 4 cats for over 4 years now and all they have had is Wellness Cat food. They are healthy, have beautiful coats, bright eyes and are very playfulâ¥

Great product for diabetic cats!
I have a 15 yr. old diabetic cat that was taking insulin injections 2x per day (not fun!) I did some research on low carb cat foods, and I decided to try the Wellness Core. This food cured her diabetes!!!

Cats have trouble eating it; smells extremely fishy
Maybe my cats are wrong, but they just can't eat it. This food is in the form of pretty large round pellets (about 1/3 of an inch) and cats have trouble chewing it. The food basically falls out of their mouth and after several bites they just give up even though they seem to like the smell. I on the other hand do not like the smell at all - it is very strong fishy smell (think anchovies x 10). I strongly recommend trying a small sample before buying a big bag.

Although I'm more of a dog person, I took in a stray kitten. After extensive research into feline nutrition (because SURPRISE! it's waaaaay different than dogs), I chose Wellness Core. The pieces are small enough for the kitten and he LOVES the flavor! It's been a few weeks and I've noticed major changes to him. His coat is thick, soft and incredibly shiny. He's lean and healthy looking. Overall, he's happy, I'm happy, and I'm definitely going to keep buying this product.

so far so good
i have friends who use this product and their cats have lost weight and look great - have really high energy levels in advanced years - and use less litter. I am expecting great things from Wellness Core. I only began feeding it to my "wild child" a few days ago, and I can already tell that her energy level is UP from before. So give me six months or so and request another review. Thx.

great pet food
Wellness Core has been a great food for my pets. Both our animals are thriving on it and their coats are beautiful. Neither animal hesitates in eating meals with Core.

Cats would not eat this product
I have three cats and thought I was doing them a real favor by buying this product ~ they absolutely refuse to eat it! Have gone to a product they do like and have tried to mix this with it and somehow they manage to leave what they do not like in the bottom of the bowl. I am completely perplexed. Had just one of the cats not eaten this product, would have not thought so much about it ~ but the three of them will not eat it even when mixed with what they will eat.
