Product Description

Wellness CORE is based on the nutritional philosophy that pets, based on their primal ancestry, thrive on a diet mainly comprised of meat. Each formula is packed with a high concentration of quality animal protein, without fillers or grains, along with a proprietary blend of botanicals and nutritional supplements. This unique, grain-free recipe supports and nurtures your pets inside…their essence…their core. To create a protein-focused diet the Wellness Way, they carefully control the quality and quantity of the ingredients they use, and pay close attention to the individual properties of each inclusion. From source to bowl, they make no exceptions! If you are looking for a food with more meat and no grains, CORE is truly a more thoughtful alternative. Customer Ratings & Reviews

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 32 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for cat who has food sensitivities or allergies For quite some time my cat was throwing up after eating dry food. I tried different brands of sensitive stomach dry food to no avail. Talking to my vet, his only answer was that the cat was eating too fast. I wasn't buying it! Finally, I discovered Wellness Core dry cat food (Turkey and Duck) and he hasn't gotten sick from the food. It has been several weeks since I've gotten Zabu on this food and he hasn't thrown up at all. He also loves his dry food! I would highly recommended this dry food for any cat Mom or Dad. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great price! I have been feeding my cats this brand for a while and rarely could find it on sale. It is a great quality cat food and I especially like that it is grain-free. All that for a great price! March 2, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Made my cat sick After two weeks on this food I had to rush my 2 year old cat to the vet. He had blood in his urine and was peeing everywhere but only small amounts. My vet asked what type of food and if I had recently switched. I told her I was using Wellness Formula Core and she said she had seen many cats on this food with cystitis. After less than one week on Royal Canin my cat is back to normal. Note I had no problem with original Wellness formula - just CORE February 20, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by A for effort, but no deal I'm mostly OK with the ingredients in this product... not the worst, not the best but mostly good. I decided the ingredients were adequately healthy and would be willing to try this if it meant a dry food that would appeal to my cat. My cat won't have a thing to do with this. It seems he'd rather be hungry than touch it. For one, he'd probably rather have smaller kibble (his preference). Even if I mix it with tuna or drown it in tuna juice, he won't touch it (he'll eat the tuna or the juice, leaving this kibble). If I put just this in his dish, he quite simply won't eat. I know cats are all different, just like people. Maybe your furry baby will like it, but my fella says, "Heck no!" April 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Can you say, "Kitty Crack"? My cats love these crunchies. No matter how quietly I lift the lid on the cannister that holds them (to treat one cat for a trick, like "high five"), the other comes on the fly. We are careful to limit dry food on the advice of the vet; my cats would eat them exclusively if they could. July 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by My cat loves this I was using Wellness CORE Grain-Free Original with success, but I tried this one for variety and she loves it even more than the Original. February 9, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by great grain free alternative My cats liked this food and going grain free has helped their allergies. My only problem is that it is a little pricey. August 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Only food my cats will eat Not only is this very healthy for the cats, it is like kitty crack for them. I give them this and the wet food and they love it. Keeps the vet away because of how healthy it is, and no fish. I used to work for a vet and was taught not to feed your cats fish as it is not a natural food for them July 28, 2015
