Although it contains 3 gums and copper sulfate and is made in Thailand, this is still one of the best choices of wet food out there. Too bad my cats hate shredded chicken. I guess it's the the long strings that's difficult for them to eat. Also, too much of it can make your kitty develop chicken allergy, so I strongly encourage to feed it in rotation only, not exclusively. My cats said "no" to this one, and one of them actually got a teary scratchy eye (allergy), so I won't be buying this flavor anymore. I also feed them Weruva "Fowl Ball" turkey flavor, and albeit it's heavy with chicken as well, they tolerate it better. I'm going to leave that one in my rotation.

As a first time cat guardian, I have to constantly change wet food flavors. This flavor is liked by my cat always which is great to have stocked in his pantry shelf.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cheraud The Best Cat Food For Your Cat:
I have done a lot of research on different manufacturers of cat food, and found Weruva. In my honest opinion this is a quality company and they make holsome grade A food. No fillers, no preservatives you cannot pronounce, just excellent food with all the nutrients that give your pet, the nutrition he or she needs.
My pet has kidney issues, and when I called the company, the representative spent a hour with me, telling me what line of products would be best suited for him. They have three different classifications of food, and the variety is fantastic. Your pet will never get bored.
I trust this company, and plan on purchasing this line of food for the rest of my cats life.
My cat loves this food, and when I put it down for him, he finishes every morsel until his next meal. He was a very picky eater, and when I purchased it for him the first time, I was skeptical that maybe this would also be a waste, but he devoured it and has loved it every since.
Great company, great products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Marianne ATTN Senior Cat Parents: Great with Grandma's Chicken Soup!
I had my 15 year old kitty with aging kidneys on the dreadful Hill's diet for a while. Not only did the food smell awful, but let's just say that *what happened afterwards* was the worst smell I can think of (sorry to say! Just...Yuck!!) the Hills is full of grain and is more expensive, so I was looking for something actually healthy and I did my research on here and decided get him off dry food as well. I bought a case of Weruva Frik a Zee and a case of Weruva Grandma's Chicken Soup. I switch between the two. My cat is happier, healthier and smelling Good I'll just say. I am so glad I made the switch. This stuff is human grade, I know because I even like the smell of it. It's expensive, which is my only complaint...oh, and it's made in Thailand...that is odd. But at this point I haven't found anything better. Hope this helps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sarape good but expensive
I like that this food doesn't have all the silly vegetables and whatnot ("grain, starch, and carrageenan free") that other foods have, and it actually looks like chicken meat. My cats all like it, though they will go off it if I feed it exclusively. Sure is expensive though. And the recommended feeding is crazy... "feed 1 oz for each pound of body weight daily" per the label. Half of that would be more than enough for most cats!!

We have a 15 yr old cat that has had urinary stones and a blockage in the past. He has been on prescription food for 3 or 4 years and recently developed an allergy to the "ocean fish" flavor. We did some research and decided to try putting him on a better quality wet food while monitoring his litter box for signs that the stones were re-occuring. We spent hours going over different brands of food and calculating the protein, fat, and carb percentages. Weruva Cats in the Kitchen actually had the calculations already completed on their website; all the other brands you have to figure it based on the guaranteed analysis. This food is real shredded chicken! We still add a few tablespoons of water to it as we are aware of our kids past urinary issues and want to make sure that he is getting plenty of water. He loves this food and we will be getting some of the other flavors to give him a variety. There are a couple that don't have any fish in them (Fowl Ball, Double Dip, and this Chicken one). We tried the "Kitty Gone Wild" flavor to see if he could have the Salmon and unfortunately, it didn't agree with him. However, there were huge chunks of fish that I actually broke up for him as they seemed a bit big for our guy.
We absolutely recommend this brand as they use quality ingredients and the protein & fats are from animals, which is important as cats are obligate carnivores... they can't digest plant proteins.

Felines here have been eating primarily fish and this chicken is a quality protein to add to the menu. Three cats gobble it down. Yum!

Rated 5 out of 5 by SassyandSadie Our path to the right cat food.
We wanted the right grain free food for our cats. I called the cat food company that we had been feeding for suggestions. They referred me to Chewy. The web sight was helpful to narrow down to 3 choices. After other research. We chose Cats in the Kitchen Frick a Zee wet food. The cats ate it immediately. I can hardly find any scat in the litter box. I had a shipping issue, called and on the second ring was greeted by a friendly voice from Florida who promptly solved my problem. We have signed up for monthly delivery.
