All three of our cats *LOVE* this food! My one comment is that the consistency is a bit thick - so I add some hot water & stir it up until it is the consistency of thick stew. That has the double benefit of warming it a bit, which the cats like, and adding more moisture to their diet, which I like.

by Caitlin8 Cat hates it
My cat is a somewhat picky eater and particularly dislikes this food. He also did not like the Pawlickin' Chicken, though he likes chicken... Maybe this company's chicken is not very good.
That alone is not the reason for the two stars, however. This food looks almost exactly like Funk in the Trunk. Similarly it is very gelatinous and difficult to remove from the can. The difference is my cat will barely touch this one, whereas he would generally eat Funk in the Trunk.
Unlike the Meow Luau (mackerel), which my cat LOVES, this flavor doesn't have pieces of salmon. It looks like ground up beef and chicken instead, actually. Normally I trust the products from this company but I am no so sure about this one.

Check with your vet always..... BUT our 18-year-old foster cat has CKD. Vets usually recommend low protein diets. But in reading about different types of CKD, and her HATING the low protein vet diet foods, I had to try something. This kitty had incontinence, hard/small stool, weeing 12+ times per day. After being on Weruva for a few weeks, she is hardly ever incontinent, has regular stool, and is weeing less. Again, check with your vet. But we are very impressed with Weruva canned cat food.

My cat has a discerning palette -- that means she turns her nose up at perfectly good (and expensive) food. But this is one she loves.

My cat loves the taste of Weruva chicken and salmon canned cat food. It is easy for him to digest and is grain-free so he doesn't have an allergic reaction to it. He will tap me on the knee and lead me to the shelf were it is stored. He can even identify the box that the food is shipped in as his.

One of my two kittens (4 month olds) is SUPER picky, and he loves Goldie Lox, Fowl Ball, and Paw Lickin Chicken.
We've tried dozens of premium foods, and this is one of the only things he will eat.

I use this food, on occasion, for my picky eaters but not as a regular item. It has tuna and salmon in it and because cats don't process toxins well (mercury), they don't get this often. However, it is great to hide medication in. Cats cannot resist the smell/flavor - both of which are very fishy. Overall, I prefer to serve Weruva Paw Lickin' Chicken at our cat sanctuary. The limited ingredients, lack of fillers and fish make it a better choice on a regular basis.

Besides having a very clever name, this food is a crowd pleaser in my house. All 6 of my cats really seem to like this flavor. I will continue to buy it.
