by Barb It has liver....yuk and why??
I agree with others that this food is great with the EXCEPTION that they have now added chicken liver to what should be a white chicken meat only recipe! Weruva, if I wanted liver with chicken, I would have purchased your “Nine Liver with Chicken” version. News flash, this should ONLY contain white chicken meat. I hope Chewy follows up with the Weruva and brings this to their attention. Also, packaged less meat and more gravy. What is going on here?? Is it too many 5 stars?? News flash, I can add water and make my own gravy. Why should I pay $43 for liver and water with starch?? This is not "chicken, pure and simple". Nope, not now anyway. So for now, I will not be purchasing this food and will NOT recommend it to others. Hopefully they will change their formula soon. Next, if you are wondering how do I know it is liver, they claim the food is made in a human food facility and like another customer, I decided to taste it. And yes, it is liver!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Grainfreeplease Caused Diarrhea
Switched to this after cat who had been eating only Natures Variety Ins chicken began having urinary issues with bleeding and became blocked. Chosen for the lower phosphorus, magnesium & calcium levels, and the higher protein to make urine more acidic to dissolve & prevent crystals. Was adding it slowly, but one of my two cats developed severe diarrhea. After reading many reviews here about cats with vomiting and diarrhea, and references to potatoe starch, I used a strainer to rinse off the gravy. The very next stool - diarrhea gone! Rather than strain/rinse the gravy, which makes up a large portion of the contents, I ordered Tiki Cat Puka Puka Chicken, also with high protein, low phos, calcium and magnesium. This is one of the few grain free canned foods that does not contain Carrageenan, but something in it causes diarrhea.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Cooskat My cat won't eat it.
The food in the can looks good enough for humans to eat. BUT, my cat will not eat it. I left it out all day without a single bite taken. An expensive lesson. I think going to the pet store and buying one or two cans at a time is the only way to buy cat food.

Rated 3 out of 5 by GeiselW Good product but kitty doesn't like it
I believe Weruva is a better cat food than many other brands. Unfortunately, kitty does not care for Paw Licken' Chicken and won't eat it.

My Abyssinian kitten absolutely loves it. It's a good alternative to a raw diet. It actually looks like real chicken.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Emmief Looks good to me but not my cats, apparently
Bought a case of 6 ounce cans of this food because I have an older kitty with CKD. This food has all the credentials but unfortunately she hates it and will only lick up the au jus. My other 3 cats feel the same about paw lickin chicken, not so paw lickin. I have to throw most of it out. A quality food but one they won't eat. Back to the drawing board.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Karma Cats love it
One of my cats recently was diagnosed with kidney disease. She is 15 and needed better food. I did a ton of research and this seems the best for the price. The best food is only good for your cat if they'll eat it! My cat absolutely loves this food, so I am pleased with the choice.
