ACANA Duck & Bartlett Pear Formula Dry Dog Food Customer Reviews

ACANA Duck & Bartlett Pear Formula Dry Dog Food 4.8 5 42 42
High quality food that my dog loves! my soft coated wheaten terrier has allergy issues and especially with food. He is also a finicky eater. The Acana single Duck is working well for him with no reaction, and he loves the food. It is very difficult to find dog food without fish oil and/or flax seed, and Wheatens are sensitive to both. the auto ship option is very nice. it was very easy ordering and very quick delivery. Finally, a limited ingriedent diet from a company I love! I'm a big fan of Champion Pet Foods (Acana & Orijen#, because of their amazing detail to quality control and ingriedents. We need food that is chicken and lamb free #two dogs with different protein intolerances#, plus ONE grain #which happens to be one of two grains my guys can tolerate#. We trialed it for 2 weeks, and the dogs are doing great. I was slightly concerned that my lab would think he was starving because of the lower protein, but it didn't bother him at all. We are still feeding the same amount #2-3 cups/day#. We will be sticking with this for more term feeding. We recently moved from Colorado to Iowa, and were having difficulty finding the foods we were used to feeding. Mr. Chewy's has allowed us to feed those same quality foods for a really reasonable price, and with quick #free!) shipping. September 5, 2012
Good food. This duck and pear dry food is close to the prescription duck and potato I have been getting. It costs less than the prescription and you get more in a bag for the money. My dog seems to like it so far, but she hasn't had it for long term yet. August 19, 2012
Great Dog Food My 9-year-old mixed breed has been thriving on Acana dry food for a few years now. She is still youthful...full of energy and her coat is beautiful. I cycle through the different formulas, and she seems to love them all equally. I've found it very easy to maintain Suzie's ideal weight with this food, too. I highly recommend Acana and couldn't be happier with Chewy. April 23, 2013
For dogs with food intolerance We love champion pet foods. Our french bulldog has been diagnosed with food intolerance and there are only a few brands I trust that have LID kibble options. We are so glad for Acana and have done great with acana regionals in the past. We have tried all the top brands for food but acana has been the one that doesn't give upset tummy. Plus the price is great for such quality food. January 4, 2014
Excellent Alternative to Orijen My Senior Sheltie has a lot of skin issues, like itching, hot spots, etc. I found out about ACANA and have never looked back. I really liked the ingredients the company uses. We started with the fish formula, but he still had the itchies. It's been about 5 months with this Duck & Bartlett flavor. He loves it, and I've noticed less licking and smell from him. The price is very reasonable for the quality you receive. We are ACANA fans for sure! We love Chewy.com and their selection too! Great food My 18 month Golden has suffered with hot spots and I have tried everything. I switched him from Acana Pacifica to the duck formula and his coat is beautiful and so far no hot spots. He also does well on the lamb formula as well and can switch between them with no problem at all. I highly recommend this product. By the way he is allergic to beef, turkey, dairy and eggs. My food sensitive pup loves this stuff! Nugget (my 2 year old Pitbull mix) has terrible food allergies and her stomach is also normally very sensitive to switching brands. Before the Acana Duck & Pear she was on Royal Canin Duck & Potato. I felt that with her muscular build and level of activity, she should be eating a food that has more protein. Also, it is nice to have her on something that I don't need to visit a vet for, in the event that we run out. Her stomach took to the Acana immediately, no messy switch over at all. I have also found it to be one of the only limited ingredient diets outside of prescription food that doesn't have flaxseed in it, which I believe she is very sensitive to. She has been on the food for 3 weeks now and has filled out a bit and looks healthier than ever. December 2, 2013
