ACANA Pacifica Regional Formula Grain-Free Dry Dog Food
The "Real Deal" kibble
This food is amazing and worth every penny. It is expensive but my three year old Boxer's ears have cleared up after just two bags. She always had red/swollen and itchy ears. I tried everything including several trips to the vet, which resulted in her being prescribed antibiotics which she obviously didn't need. My other Boxer, also a female, has never been so excited at mealtime until I switched to Acana. She literally dances around the kitchen until I set her bowl down, then her little nub tail wiggles the whole time while she devours every piece! Amazing! Now let's just hope Acana doesn't get cheap on us with ingredients or price their product into outer space.

After doing a lot of research, Acana is the brand I prefer. I recently tried this formula and like the fact that I'm able to switch within the different Acana brands and it causes my dogs no issues and gives them a variety. Champion foods makes Acana and Orijen and seem to be on another level than most of their competitor's.

Excellent First Step!!
Acana is an excellent "entry" food into the land of grain-free.... wherein your pets will have far fewer health difficulties, excellent energy, and healing of such things as skin conditions and allergies.
Acana is made by the same company that makes Orijen, and to me, Orijen is the Cat's Meow. Or, the Dog's Bark. It's the TOP of the TOP.
If you try Acana and like it, you will LOVE ORIJEN. Order some Acana, and read what's on the package. Nothing more is needed. I swear!
If you fear the price-tag (like I did!), please rest in the knowledge that you will be feeding your pets only a FRACTION of the amounts you've fed them of food involving grain. When you feed grain-free, and heart-healthy-fats, which are included, your pet will be satisfied with an amount far less than what you'd feed her with most locally-available foods.
If you sleep with your pets (I sleep with seven!) please know that these healthy grain-free foods eliminate FLATULENCE. Ahh..... there is a Heaven, after all!!

Fantastic food - never involved in a recall
I have done lots of research on food ingredients and food manufacturing plants and have finally found a winner with ACANA Pacifica. With all the food recalls over the past year, I've been on the hunt for a brand that manufactures in its own plant AND has fish without other meat AND doesn't have white carbs/grains. I'm very happy with the ingredient list (especially the fish), and there truly is no grain or other refined white product (rice, potatoes, oatmeal). While this food isn't exactly "local" to me, it manufactures a low number of bags in its own facility and has never been involved in a recall -- a big deal for me as I want to feed my dogs a quality food. My 4 dogs love the food and I love how they look and act after eating it. I highly recommend this food to anyone looking for a good product (especially for arthritic dogs).

This is the best food I have found to date
Grain free. Excellent quality. All of my dogs love this food and never turn it down. They do prefer the salmon over the chicken.

Excellent ingredients and my dog loves it.
We switched to Acana Pacifica from Purina ProPlan after our 7 yr old lab started getting lumpy fat stores. It's pricey but really high quality dog food. His energy is up, no more fat store lumps and his energy is up.

Wonderful dog food
This dog food (to me) is one of the best out there. My dog has several different food allergies and using this dog food he has avoided all of his triggers. There are no fillers and "junk" in this food and I have found that to be true of the whole ACANA line. His skin and coat have never been healthier and his eyes are bright and healthy. Highly recommend.

My 2 Rottweilers love this food. Easy to tell the fish content is high. It has a strong fish smell, but the dogs don't end up smelling 'fishy'. If your dog is a grazer like my male Rottie, and doesn't eat all his food at one sitting, you might find this food a little smelly if you're sensitive to that kind of thing. But most dogs are going to gobble it!
