Rated 5 out of 5 by CapeCodDeeDee Great Product - Great Company
My pup grew up on Annamaet Grain-Free Manitok Red Meat Formula Dry Dog Food but my local pet store doesn't always have it in stock. As my dog LOVES it, I needed to find a reliable source. The food is awesome and is perfect for pretty much any breed but it is also great for someone who wants to supplement their dog's raw diet. The food keeps my dog healthy and fit. Anyhow, I found Chewy.com where I could purchase Annamaet and could not be happier. They have an easy to navigate website and offer so many perks if you are a repeat customer or sign up for automatic shipments. The best thing was the hand written Thank You / Welcome to the Family post card they sent to me. Its a classy company with lots of great products!

free range animals used in this product which is important to me. My dog loves it (first dry food she has ever liked) but I personally do not recommend a dry food only diet for dogs. This is only her breakfast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PetLove Finally, a dry food my dog likes!
I love having a skinny dog, but her pickiness makes it hard to shop for food. Glad I found this brand and flavor. Worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PMLX Must have great taste
My 10 year old border collie needs variety in her foodstuffs. I recently ordered annamaet manitok red meat formula and she loves it! She is selective in what she eats and when she ate a whole bowl of this food all at once, I knew that it was a winner!
Thank you for making her happy..

Switched to Annamaet a couple months ago. Toby, our two year basset, has had loose stool, ear problems and runny eyes since he was a puppy. Within a month his stool has firmed up and his ear wax and runny eyes have gone away. We also switched our nine year old basset, Amanda, to Annamaet Lean. She has had increased energy and is loosing weight. Costs a little more but well worth it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by unhappy Do not purchse Annamaet dog food from Chewy.com or anyone other than a reputable vendor.
I usually purchase this Annamaet food from a local dealer, but thought I would try Chewy.com because I heard it was cheaper. It is only cheaper IF you sign up for the auto delivery AND, the Annamaet food I received from chewy.com was far inferior to what I and my dogs were used to. It must have been sitting in a truck or warehouse somewhere. Even though the date on the bag was still good, the product was different in color and size and when I compared the bags from the local vendor and chewy.com the bags were found to be similar but different. Two out of my 3 dogs are having soft stools and I WILL NOT purchase this product from chewy.com or anyone other than my local vendor. I have already sent pictures and a letter to Rob at Annamaet. I am however satisfied with the Pet Safe Treat Pouch Sport and the Tidy Cats Breeze Cat Pads that I purchased.

Rated 2 out of 5 by jennygirl Dont buy this! Informed Consumers should think twice
Though touted as good for you, it STILL contains both tapioca and canola oil in it!!! Tapioca is not necessary and can give diarrhea and canola oil is terrible for everyone and should never be consumed.
Originally, rapeseed oil may not have had so many negative health effects. But for two main reasons, most canola oil today is harmful to your body and your dogs body:
1. Over 90 percent of canola oil is genetically modified
2. Canola oil is a partially hydrogenated oil
There are reports that it has caused many kidney, liver and neurological health issues. This would make sense since there are other reports that GMO products like corn and soy also can cause negative health effects.
Canola Oil Dangers
The side effects of GMOs in general cannot be overstated. In a 2011 review published in Environmental Sciences Europe, 19 studies of mammals fed GMO soybeans and corn were evaluated. The 90-day long trials indicated liver and kidney problems as a result of GMO foods. Kidney’s were disrupted by 43.5 percent and liver by 30.8 percent.
A monounsaturated oil, rapeseed oil has high levels of erucic acid. Erucic acid is a fatty acid that is associated with heart damage, specifically Heshan’s Disease, a disease that manifests itself with fibrotic lesions of the heart.
In the 1970′s, food manufacturers came up with a method to genetically modify the rapeseed plant by seed splitting. This process produced a canola oil with less erucic acid, and higher amounts of oleic acid, which lead to additional concerns with canola oil, like:
Blood platelet abnormalities
Retards normal growth (why it’s illegal to use in infant formulas)
Free radical damage
Higher cancer risks due to the hydrogenation process

Rated 5 out of 5 by Roxridge great food
Dillon my ridgeback can be a picky eater, and he loves the Annamaet Manitou. His coat looks great; his stomach does not bother him; he is healthy and energetic; I can't ask for any more than that.
