Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 102 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by good, lowfat food My dog has pancreatitis and needs very low fat food. The prescription diets don't seem very high quality -- Annamaet grain-free lean seems to be pretty high in protein and low in fat. My dog isn't thrilled with the taste so I add a bit of low sodium/low fat chicken broth and sometimes a sprinkling of Stella and Chewy's Chicken meal mixer and he's very happy guy. May 19, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by great food with lots of allergies My dog is allergic to many common dog food items. This met his requirements with a low fat content and he loves it. May 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by a great food I have a lab who I need to keep on a course that nourishes without the grains. She likes the taste and as with most labs relishes their food as long as it has a good taste. It is a great cru Cy dry dog food. May 12, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Boxer with pancreatitis My female boxer who has suffered from pancreatitis for a couple years seems to do good on this food. I don't hear her stomach making horrible noises anymore like it did when she was on Hill's W/D which the veterinarian prescribed her. She was horribly gassy while eating the Hill's W/D also, she is not nearly as bad on this food which is another good sign it's helping. The only downfall is that she doesn't seem to to enjoy the taste. :( I still recommend it for any parent's of dog's with pancreatitis! It's pricey but worth a try. April 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for Pancreatitis Our 12lb Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has been suffering with bouts of Pancreatitis for a while now. She was previously on Wellness Super5Mix and as soon as we changed her over to the Annamaet Lean she started getting better. We wanted to find a low-fat, grain-free food for her as was suggested and Annamaet Lean was the lowest dry food we could find (grain-free or not!). It was a bit hard to find and expensive, so we tried going to Wellness Core, and after 1 day of slowly mixing in Wellness Core and Annamaet Lean, she was throwing up and having more Pancreatitis symptoms. Needless to say, we got rid of Wellness food all-together and are now strictly using Annamaet Lean and she's doing great. She really likes the food as well, switching her to it completely was very easy, and the smaller size kibble is much easier for her to eat. The only negative side is that her breath seems to have gotten worse on this food. I'll take bad breath over a vomiting, sick dog any day though. September 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dog loves the food Why is there no vitamins for joints in senior dogs. April 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by So far, so good All three dogs are eating this food. I have 3 picky eaters and I like this food because I don't have to add anything to make it palatable. This food is very crunchy - it sounds they are eating rocks but they love it. It usually takes about a month before they decide to not eat something anymore but I am hopeful. It may be my imagination but it looks like it is helping the stains under the beagles eyes. Fingers crossed. March 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dogs love it! I have two elderly dogs. One is 50 pounds and the other 100 pounds. They are not nearly as active as they once were and have put on some weight. My smaller dog is a picky eater. I have tried a number of grain free kibbles and she will leave most of it even when mixed with canned food, cooked ground turkey or chicken. She will eat the around the kibble or pick out the kibble and drop it on the floor. I decided to try the Annamaet Lean. I have tried so many kibbles I wasn't really expecting much. When I opened the bag the smell was overpowering. Apparently the dogs don't mind the smell. They ate with more enthusiasm than I've seen in a long time. The kibble is smaller in size and I think this is a plus for them. Even though they are larger dogs the smaller kibble is easier for them to eat. I'm very happy with the ingredients. It appears to be a high quality kibble. The bag has a zip lock top that makes it much easier to re-seal the bag. So far it appears to be a winner. I've also noticed an increase in activity and some weight loss. August 3, 2015
