this food is made by the company and not mass produced
I have 3 older dogs who have been on grain free food and raw since pups. This is a great switch as they age and become less active as it is grain free and low fat and moderate protien. They are in great weight from this food and had no issues switching them onto it.

I switched both of my dogs to this lean grain free food. They had no problems making the transition from their old brand. And they seem to love the flavor. I like the zip lock bag. Makes life much easier.

This seems like a good food, however my dog has only been on it a week. I am having a hard time getting him to eat it only because he no longer can have human food because of pancreatitis. The food is small bites which is good for smaller dogs.(My dog is 65 pounds and it works for him also) I love the fact it is low fat.

I was looking for a low fat dry food and this looked ok.
My dogs would not eat this produce. Wish I could send it back.

Great for Pancreatitis
Our 12lb Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has been suffering with bouts of Pancreatitis for a while now. She was previously on Wellness Super5Mix and as soon as we changed her over to the Annamaet Lean she started getting better.
We wanted to find a low-fat, grain-free food for her as was suggested and Annamaet Lean was the lowest dry food we could find (grain-free or not!). It was a bit hard to find and expensive, so we tried going to Wellness Core, and after 1 day of slowly mixing in Wellness Core and Annamaet Lean, she was throwing up and having more Pancreatitis symptoms.
Needless to say, we got rid of Wellness food all-together and are now strictly using Annamaet Lean and she's doing great. She really likes the food as well, switching her to it completely was very easy, and the smaller size kibble is much easier for her to eat.
The only negative side is that her breath seems to have gotten worse on this food. I'll take bad breath over a vomiting, sick dog any day though.

So far so good!
I started my very overweight , 7 yr old shitzu on this food about a month ago and so far he's doing really well. He seems to be less hungry than on some of the other "lean" foods and has lots of energy--more than he's had in quite a while. ( I had him on Acana for a while, but he was starving all the time.)He has many skin allergies so I am very careful about the food I feed him, but his skin looks great and his coat is thick and shiny on this food.
I will update this to five stars if he has lost any weight in about a month. Right now that part's still up in the air. :>)
