Allergy is gone!!! Hi, I am a happy owner of an English Bulldog. He is 3.5 years old and has very sensitive skin and a whole spectrum of allergies. As per his saliva and blood test, he is allergic to almost everything, except red meat, cabbage, carrots, and peas. We had been trying hard to find the right dry food for him that is grain-free and doesn't contain even potato or sweet potato. We researched online and gave a try to Back to Basics Open Range Formula. NO grain, potato!!! Exactly what we needed. What can I say? It works! Since we started giving him this food, he has had no allergy reactions, no itchy bumps, hot spots, no swollen paws, and no ear problems! I am very pleased and happy with the quality of the food. Seriously, it is a such relief! We also tried Back to Basics Pork Formula. We had no allergies, no skin problems, but he had a little diarrhea and extra gas. Oops... So, we decided to go back to Open Range Formula. Moreover, the dog loves it! October 21, 2013
Top Quality Made in the USA so it is a higher quality. No fillers or by products. Perfect for dogs with yeast or allergy issues. Rated 5 Star by Dog Food Advisor Most important all three of my dogs enjoy this food. July 1, 2014
Good for Allergies Maddie, my maltese/westie mix, is allergic to a laundry list of kibble ingredients, as well as having an allergy to grass. This is one of only two kibbles that she's been able to tolerate (and she loves it!). The other one is Back to Basics Pork. The simple ingredient list in both varieties, especially the absence of grains, potatoes, chicken (including eggs), and alfalfa, is the key. Great product!! December 6, 2014
My dogs love this food Open range dog food is a top quality dry dog food. One of my dogs is a very picky eater, but he has no trouble woofing down open range, and it is easy for my old dog to eat. It is defiantly worth trying! September 14, 2014
not for my dog My dog wouldn't eat this food....he is 10 years old and usually eats holistic foods (which I rotate) but with his age im afraid he has lost some of his senses like taste. So while I was hoping he would love this food he hates it..but to me it seemed like an excellent food. July 20, 2014
Our puppy loves it We started our puppy out on a local area store brand puppy food that had grain fillers and other things that dogs don't need. I decided to look on line for a food that is good for our puppy...she is part of the family!!! Back to the Basics is what I chose. I mixed the two according to the recommendations when introducing the new brand, however she only picked out the Back to Basics and refused the old stuff. Proof that Back to Basics speaks for its self. June 11, 2014
