My 9 month old puppy is a chewer, he tears up toys in a matter of minutes so I looked for an alternative to keep him busy - I first found elk antlers at my local pet food store and they were expensive, I paid almost $20 for the first one I bought but it was worth it, the antler lasted for days and kept my pup busy for hours and hours so when I found this brand on Chewy for much less money I was thrilled. All antlers must be the same right? Well they aren't . I bought 4 of these from Chewy, my puppy chewed each of them up in about an hour but that's not the worst of it, the top part of the antler splinters after an hour or so. They say these don't splinter or chip however they absolutely do! A big thumbs down ;-(

One girl is allergic to beef so it is a great "chew" which keeps them occupied and helps clean their teeth!

Rated 1 out of 5 by MJHelms Surprised at poor quality
I am actually incredibly surprised at how many positive reviews there are for this product. My puppy loves chewing on elk antlers, especially the split ones. I know they are really expensive for just a bone, but they last a long time and keep her really occupied; so, I've never really minded spending the extra cash. I normally buy the blue buffalo brand elk antler because they are bigger and better quality. They are pricier but seemed to be much better than the other brands. I got this brand because chewy.com didn't sell the blue buffalo antlers. This bone fell apart almost immediately and didn't last long at all. It had to be thrown out after a matter of days. Due to all of the other positive reviews, it might just have been a bad antler, but I would buy with caution. I will just be sticking with the blue buffalo brand because I know that they hold up and are larger in size. I'm not sure if people have only used this brand and don't know if other brands are better so there isn't a base for comparison or if like I said before the antler I got just happened to be a quality control issue. Either way, I'd recommend being careful when purchasing this bone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JennyB Great for strong chewers
I have a 10 month old, 75 lb, lab/pit/mastiff mix who is a VERY agressive chewer and antlers are the only real "long lasting" treat for him. I prefer these because they don't splinter (like bully horns do), and they last so long for him - he eats a bully stick in 10 min - where as these take him a few weeks to finish.
I've bought a bunch of different kinds and this one is the one he loves the most! He really enjoys that it's split and he can get easy access to the yummy part.
Only drawback is, it can get a little messy - but the mess is minimal and it's well worth it for the pleasant chewing distraction it provides.
I added it to my auto-ship order so he can have a new one every month! Highly recommend for fast/strong chewers!

I have an 11 month old standard poodle. He absolutely loves these antlers. Because they are made in the USA, I am confident that they are very safe for my dog.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dogs5 This antler product was a bit small....
My dog LOVES antlers and east them up. This antler was smallish and was consumed in a matter of hours. Most of these will last at least a few days of hard chewing. Make sure you buy up a size to ensure it doesn't disappear too quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mom2Arlo Great quality; my big chewer loves it
The large elk antler split is one of my dog's absolute favorites! The marrow was gone in less than an hour and in just two days the split had been whittled down to half its original size (~7in when it arrived). I am very pleased by the natural, all-American sourcing of the raw product and minimal packaging. I have recommended this product to friends and will be purchasing more in the future!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Nature dogs do not like it
I thought there was more than one piece, after all they are labeled "splits" and chews which means plural to me, right. One piece, that's all. My dogs looked at it, yes it, just one piece, picked it up, put it down, and never bothered with it again. I tried tempting them with the "antler" but they do not like it. It is very expensive for something my dogs do not like it.
