Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent food that is worth the cost We have been giving Blue Buffalo to our dogs for over a year now. Recently we added a new member to our family and have him on the Blue Basics Puppy food, he loves the taste and is great for high energy, active puppies. Other less expensive foods with more fillers lead to more accidents in the house, this product has helped with the house training process and is a great source of nutrition January 29, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Gave my puppy chronic diarrhea Before I brought my young lab home, the breeder was feeding her Costco dry dog food and her stools were fine. I switched her to Blue Buffalo because of its better nutritional value. But as soon as she was eating Blue Buffalo she had chronic diarrhea. At first, I thought it might be stress, but after several weeks with no relief I concluded it had to be the food. Sure enough as soon as I fed her another brand, she was fine. January 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by My puppies love this food One of my puppies had a skin problem since we bought him. After trying to change a few things in his environment and some vet visits with skin scrapings, I decided it was time to get back to the basics. And we did. I put both puppies on blue basics and what a difference it has made! Not only did it make his coat smoother n shinier.. He no longer scratches and he absolutely loves it! We both couldn't be any happier with the results. Thank you blue buffalo, for such a great product. If your puppy is having a tough time with allergies, I definitely recommend this food brand and so does Oliver!! :0) November 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great dog food My puppy started itching around her neck and ears and I felt it was allergy related. So we switched her to this puppy food. She really likes it. Her itching has improved some. But I will stick to this food anyway. And is the cheapest and very reliable. March 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by My dog loves it! I have a Boston Terrier (5 months old) that was having really bad ear and tummy troubles that got narrowed down to food allergies. We switched to this food to give it a try and it's been 3 weeks and he's doing great!! No more problems and he loves the food, he never really ate the other food I had him on, Iams puppy food. So far I am really happy with the results of Blue Buffalo Basics! Thanks!! January 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product! Two months ago we brought our baby basset hound home from the breeder. We continued to feed her the premium food that the breeder recommended. It wasn't long before it became apparent that there was something wrong with Gracie. Her belly was always distended (much more than a puppy pot belly). She consistently had loose stools. Most alarming, her water intake was obviously excessive. Our vet had me keep 24 hour water intake records on 3 separate days. To our dismay, her intake was nearly 4 times the normal intake for her size. Needless to say, we were worried about what this meant, and were also upset that house breaking was nearly impossible because she ALWAYS had a full bladder. The vet wanted to do further testing, as polydipsia can be a symptom of other diseases. I decided to try switching her diet to one that just had basic ingredients and all of the nutrients a growing puppy required. We started Gracie on Blue Buffalo Basics dry and canned puppy food. The change was instantaneous. Her stools are now firm and her bloated little belly has shrunk down to a normal roley poley puppy sized tummy. Most importantly, her water consumption has become normal. The vet congratulated us on trying the new diet and said that further testing would not be necessary. We are making progress on the housebreaking now. I highly recommend Blue Buffalo Basics puppy food for dogs with digestive problems! August 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by My dogs love this food. I have 3 dogs and one of my dogs has a very sensitive stomach. Instead of having several types of food for the various dogs I own, all of my dogs love this dog food. August 4, 2015
