Blue Buffalo Wilderness Puppy Chicken Recipe Grain-Free Dry Dog Food Customer Reviews

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 67 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Healthy growing puppy All my dogs are on a grain free diet, and the health benefits are noticeable. My old bones schnauzer has increased muscle mass and vigor, and my sensitive stomach terrier doesn't throw up anymore. So...I started my new large breed puppy on this food and she has been growing well and doing great. My vet says she is the picture of health. I've never had any loose stool or vomitting from this food. She eats a relatively small amount, which offsets the high cost of the food. And, Chewy's autoship was a great experience and value. The only problem is that my other dogs preffer the puppy food, too, so I have to separate them at feeding time. My vet said to go ahead and switch the puppy to adult food, so my next bag is going to be the adult formula for all the dogs. A NOTE ON GRAIN FREE FOODS: These are very nutrient dense foods. You feed less of them and must switch your dogs over very gradually. July 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Our large mixed breed pup loves this food We rescued a 6-month-old puppy who developed serious digestive problems shortly after bringing him home. After a hospitalization and a week or so on rice and boiled chicken, we switched him to dry food. We wanted something with no grain and as few fillers as possible, and we found Blue Buffalo Wilderness. It's great! The puppy loves it, and his system tolerates it well. He has grown up large and healthy, his coat is perfectly shiny, he has energy without peaks or crashes. Blue Buffalo Wilderness is a great food that we can highly recommend. December 15, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by New Puppy Food Introduced My Beagle mix was on Taste of the Wild for several months and did very well on it. However, I wanted to change things up a bit and try another grain-free product that (arguably) is slightly better quality. I decided to tansition her to Blue Wilderness Puppy and she loves it! I did notice her stools are not as large since changing her food but cannot confirm this is a direct byproduct of Blue. As long as my girl is happy, I am going to stick with Blue for a while and change it up with different flavors for her. December 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by little poops!!! My golden retriever puppy was pooping 4-5 times a day on another 'quality' puppy food. since switching to Blue, he is down to 2-3 times a day (normal since he eats twice a day) and the size of the piles has shrunk too! I'm very happy with the change :) February 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Dog Food If you care and love your pet, you need to feed them the same way, with good food and Blue Buffalo Wilderness is it!!! Plain and simple....and by ordering it thru Chewy, you'll save a few bucks as well... September 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by High Quality puppy food Just like all the other Blue Buffalo Wilderness foods this one is great quality as well -- using it also to wean off puppies -- works well and puppies love it and thrive on it! December 18, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by pricey very similar to the blue buffalo life protection though this maybe a coincidence but since switching to this my puppy sheds a considerable amount. January 13, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by puppy liked at first but... my RR puppy liked this food at first but all of a sudden she would not eat it. We started adding canned food and chicken broth to it to convince her to eat. We also had to take all her treats and bones away from her. She will go over and smell it and then walk away. We are going to try switching to something else. Also she is super gassy and it WREAKS!! could easily clear out the room. She has also started shedding a ton not sure if that is because of the food though. October 6, 2014
