Rated 5 out of 5 by NancyVa Great for Dogs with allergies
My dog is allergic to chicken, turkey and beef. This is the only canned food that I can find that is pure venison. I checked a couple of the other brands "holiday stews" but they contain chicken or eggs. My dog LOVES this food. I mix it with some cooked white potatoes and Canine Caviar dry food. Everyone should check the ingredients on their dogs food. This brand has the fewest and purest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Grateful Canine Caviar Venison is wonderful!
Our German Shepherd has had many skin problems previously, including seasonal allergies. I started him on Canine Caviar dry food in December 2013 and added Canine Caviar canned food some months later. All the proteins I "thought" he was allergic to have been proven NOT true with any Canine Caviar, both dry and canned. I read a review recently regarding the canned food that stated it didn't keep well in the refrigerator; it would become "hard as a rock". This is only because of the oil/fat in the food that it becomes solidified when it's cold. All you do is take out a small portion that you are going to add to the dry food, add a small portion of water to it, place in microwave for 12-15 seconds, and your food is perfect to be mixed in with the dry food. One thing I have found for my 10 year old Shepherd is he is needing to have more fiber than any of the Canine Caviar can offer for him. I place a Tbsp. of Psyllium fiber in with the canned food and water, after microwaving, mix with the dry, and his bowel movements are perfect! Our dog loves and has done well with ALL the Canine Caviar dry and canned proteins we've tried. He seems to really enjoy all the variety and has never done better with health and skin issues since beginning Canine Caviar.

Rated 4 out of 5 by tyteddieandbelle Good Food, but leftovers do not keep well in Fridge
Canine Caviar is a good brand and both my dogs are on variations of the dry. The canned food I got for a picky senior as a mix-in with his dry. He loves the food. The only problem I have this stuff is that it does not do well in the refrigerator - it gets as hard as concrete (it's also a bit stinky, though the dogs don't seem to mind). Other than that, very good product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nancy03 Helping relieve dry itchy skin for my dog
Recently my dog has suffered with flaky, itchy skin. Wondering i if it might be a reaction to her food, I switched her canned food to the Venison Canine Caviar and noticed a difference within days (less than a week). The flaky skin is gone and her rolling to deal with the itching is also gone.
The product gets solid with refrigeration, but that works well as I can easily add it to her canned food without it making clumps with the dry kibble.
Very happy with the Canine Caviar product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lisrose Love opening one can for both the cats AND the dogs!
Changed the dogs to this brand of both dry and wet food a few months ago for the health benefits, switched the cats over last month. The cats LOVE the venison flavor over the other flavors of canned. It is so nice to open one can to share among all the animals! The cats will also eat the duck but are not as keen on the turkey flavor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mabel7 Outstanding Quality!
I am very particular about what I feed my 3 cats and little toy poodle. This food meets my high standards which is saying a lot. Two of my 3 cats love venison and took to this immediately. The texture is like a coarse pate with the perfect amount of moisture that make it easy to serve and for them to eat without any mess. I will continue to buy this. I find the price and service unbeatable here at Chewy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bree12 Stopped my cat from trying to eat house plants.
I have done a lot of research for natural foods for my cat. If he gets outside he hunts and eats it all, the entire mouse except for its feet. I wanted a food that mimicked that because as he has gotten older he started eating house plants. He does not eat carrots or kale, etc. naturally, he eats the greens and such that has been broken down by the acid in a small mammals stomach. This food provides that and he LOVES it. Note, I had to start adding it in in very small quantities. Now he has stopped eating plants, eats less over all and just seems healthier, I still use it as an add in not as the only food he eats.
