Rated 5 out of 5 by Yankee Helping her dumpies
I am currently on EVO Chicken & Turkey.
This was the food I was given when I adopted her, so I have kept it going since.
But occasionally she would have horrible filmy dumpies & gas.
This got progressively worse.
So I spoke online with a person from Mr. Chewy & asked him about a food that other Doberman owners had mentioned online & he said no............it had too much protein for her. No more gas either!!
He recommended this Holistic food for her.
WELL.............I began with introducing 1/4 of her cup with it & now I am up to a 50/50 mix & we now are thrilled with the results.........SOLID dumpies!
Great advice from the person who I spoke to online!

I bought this food for my 13 year old golden retriever who was having some kidney issues. She was drinking a lot of water and urinating frequently. I am so happy with the results of this food. She loves the food and I have already seen improvements in her health.

This bag of Canine Caviar Special Needs was different then the last bag we got from you. The first bag was tiny round kibbles, which our Yorkie loved. This bag was flattish and bgigger around and the she is not crazy about it. Don't know why the shape would change for the same product.. She will eat it but not as readily as she did the other.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kgirl Great for elevated liver enzymes and cancer
It took some research to find this food. In speaking to the company I found a dedicated owner who developed a food for his own dog who had developed cancer. My dog had been lucky, we found her cancer early. In the next three years I fed her what I thought was a good diet but learned it really was not. This seems like a great food without going into special vet diets which aren't so palatable. I mix with a small amount of evangers chicken as a topping. She absolutely loves it and so do I - I am at least providing HER with an appropriate healthy diet!

I bought this because I read this helped dogs with colitis and Colby was very sick. I was having a hard time getting him to eat or drink. He even had to get an IV at the Vet's. I made him a homemade mixture of colon friendly foods and supplements. As he got better I started adding Canine Caviar Holistic Special Needs Chicken Dry Dog Food. He loves it so much and is still having healthy stools. I hope this food will continue to keep him healthy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WinstonsMom Healthy and tasty food my dog loves!
I have been feeding my dog this food for several years after a recommendation based on the high quality of ingrediants and lack of fillers. When I moved to Maryland, no one carried Canine Caviar so I have tried several other top-quality foods. I finally found this website and ordered the Caninie Caviar and within just a few days my dog was happily eating his favorite food again. He loves it and it appears to love him as hid body utilizes it and his eliminations are reduced. Thanks mrchewy.com!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by DogmominAtl Wonderful food for older doggies!
My poor older setter had a very serious case of acute pancreatitis and it was touch & go for a few days. Once he recovered, the vet wanted him to go on yucky prescription food. But, I did some research + found Canine Caviar's Special Needs food. So glad I did. It's been over 1 year since he was ill + he's never been healthier. Stool is firm-no stomach "episodes" and for an 11 year old dog, he still acts like a puppy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bijou Not sure what the issue is.
My 14 yr old guy has awful acid reflux. For a while he was eating canine cavier chicken & pearl millet. He had less acid reflux but he wasn't thrilled with the food. I bought a small bag of the chicken holistic special needs dry food and he gobbled it up. Loved it, LOVED IT and almost no acid reflux. I bought the biggest bag. He won't touch it, won't go near it. I tried mixing other things he likes in with the food and he picked at it slightly. I dumped almost the entire bag because our local shelter won't take an open bag. Is there some inconsistancy in batches? It's expensive dog food to throw away. I'm still searching for a food.
