Best purchase ever made this bowl has done it's job it has slowed our female min pin from gulping her food down. You have two happy fur daddies. Yay!!!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Judy54 This configuration hasn't slowed her eating down much at all.
The bowls configuration has not seemed to slowed down my dogs eating.

I love this bowl. It is good for up to 1/3 cup of dry kibble which is what I feed the two dogs I got the bowls for. It does slow them down, they still go after their food like they haven't been fed before, and they do just swallow the food, but at least, they have to work to get the kibble out. If you are going to put more than 1/3 cup of dry food in the bowl, get the next size up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Katz Awesome for overweight pets
I bought 2 of these bowls for my two overweight cats. They have to work at getting their food which is great because one would lie in the floor and eat, now he has to use his paw to get the food out. :) I would recommend these for small dogs and or cats.

Slowed down the greedy one-she slowed down and eats again instead of gulping it down. Got this for my Rat Terrier. Works great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Judie10 I would give this bowl 10 stars if I could.
My dog was a champion gulper who finished his food before I could make it to another room. Surprisingly, he didn't object to this change and quickly adjusted to this bowl. AND he is a gulper no more.

I had to purchase 2 medium size non gulping bowls because this did not slow my little ones down! There is much more work in the med. Puzzle bowls, and I give those 5 Stars!

We recently adopted a rescue dachshund mix, and because she's mixed with something (we're thinking border collie) she's a bit bigger than a normal sized dachshund. I ordered the small on a whim, hoping it wouldn't be to small. If anything thing it almost a little too big. But, she makes it work and has slowed down tremendously! If you have a regular size doxy or smaller, I would definitely go for the XS.
